Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I've been active with the drift competition, but when I had the free time, I was working on a video that makes feint drifting easier. I hope you enjoy the video! If you have any comments about it, just leave them in this thread. Most of you might not like the slo-mo, but it may be easier for other people to comprehend the drift. I can still improve the video, so don't hesitate to give your opinion!

How.To.Feint.Drift

note: it's a big video [10 MB!], so if you want to download the video in pieces, there's a program called GetRight. It helps those people who want to finish downloading later. Here's the URL: http://www.getright.com

Faint Drift- this is performed by rocking the car towards the opposite direction of a turn and then using the rebound of grip to throw the car into the normal cornering direction. (note: this is heavy rally racing technique used to change vehicle attitudes during cornering)

There's an intorduction with the defiinition of feint drifting in the first couple of seconds, then it moves onto the first person's perspective of feint drifting the first right hand corner of Tokyo R246 in a Honda S2000 and then the next corner. Then, as the video goes on the same thing will be played except in slow motion for the people who want to pay attention to the steering and throttle timing and then the replay that made Gran Turismo so much fun to watch :D

They're called Scandinavian flicks.

always. i never drive in games any other way..i'd like it even better if it had a cockpit view and everything.

sorry for the 3 month bump, but i was wondering if anybody still has this video and if anybody could possibly hook me up with it?? :D

much appreciated :)

Thio, It'd be helpful if you would explain how a feint drive changes the attitude of a car during cornering?

I'm guessin it has something to do with weight transfer.
