This is no run of the mill street car. We saw lights flashing at night going by our bay window. Thought maybe an emergency vehicle. I looked out and saw a car carrier like a flat bed. Too dark to really see, but with the lights flashing I could see a silhouette. Enough to get me to go outside and look. I walked down to where it was and the owner was standing. We talked and I saw it. He told me it was a 1953 Jaguar XK 120. He also said the fuel pump had gone, he said he felt it flutter and he knew what it was.
Fastest production car made when it came out on 1948.When daylight came I saw it. Burled walnut dash. I heard it 2 days later , new fuel pump installed, and a day later it disappeared. Only place I had ever seen one was videos of Goodwood.
Its a beauty, with a certain style that we just don't see today.
