Laguna Seca (or any track, but let's start at Seca since the WC series actually races there)

BMW 328i vs. USDM Integra Type-R (I know the redline sucks, but it's part of why it's so even)

Allowed mods:
Traction control and ASM set to 0
Full-Customize suspension
Sports Brakes
Racing exhaust
NA tune-up stage 1
Port/polish
Blueprint/balance
Chip
Twin-disc clutch
Racing flywheel
1.5 way limited slip
Super-slick tires (WC runs on Street Toyo T1-S but the sports tires suck in this game)

Stage 1 lightening for the 328i
Stage 3 for the Type-R
Best time gets the win.
This was posted on the TeamSlow site and thought it fit to post it here.
Id like to welcome our new member from TeamSlow as well.
Welcome COO to the Planet and thanks for the challenge.
Here are the times so far from the members of Team Slow.
Oh and here is the thread if anyone is interested.
Check out the thread for the times.
Good luck everybody
Oh, there is a one week time limit on this.
Times will need to be posted by Friday Oct. 22 by 12AM EST.
Misnblu

Yeah, thats how I did it.
Free run is the best way to get a ghost to help you follow your lines.
Good luck Boom.
Misnblu
Its been awhile since Ive been in a challenge. ;)
Thanks COO for the challenge man. :D

Super slick tires are T2's correct?

NTSC and PAL users have different names for the tires. I think that PAL T2's are called "super hard" if I'm not mistaken.

Can we also do an oil change as well?

Never thought about the oil change as a power adder.
In this case, no.
Since Im not the originator of the challenge, Ill leave it up to COO.
Use the T2 tires and that should work.
Misnblu

When in doubt about oil changes if I post a challenge and don't mention it, go ahead and change the oil. I consider it necessary maintenance. :) Good luck!

I did both cars. Just wanted to see the differences.

Here's the BMW 328 replay:

Integra Type-R

Time: 1'31.696

I could still shave some time off of this, but I don't see the Integra making up the second that it's behind the BMW.

Oh, you using auto or stick for the tranny.
I think we should post that as well.
Misnblu

Thanks Misnblu!

You mentioned some other times, is there a leaderboard that you could do?

BTW, I'm using the DS2 in with the maual trans.

Yeah, Ill get a leader board going.
Give me a couple of hours for this.
Too bad my home computer is out, Id post from there but cant.
Ill have to do all my posting from the work comp.

Good time COO.
Ill have to rearrange the leader board now. ;)
I would have done some racing this weekend but between the club meet, watching the Harry Potter movie (awesome movie) and playing Paintball this Sunday, it was a full weekend. Finally had a kickass day in paintball for a change. ;) :D
Misnblu
Ill try to run it this week before the deadline.

Here is the new leader board.
Congrats so far to the leaders.

OK this has perked my interest, and I'm going to try to give it a run tomorrow night. I know it's past the deadline, but looks interesting just the same.

I've got Boom's replay, so I'm one step ahead of the game for my usual run.

We'll see how it goes....

Misnblu: Glad you had a good day paintballing. I do miss it. Maybe when (if) Christmas bonus rolls in, I'll pick up a typhoon and get back into it.

AO

It not too late to enter. The deadline is for this Friday, not last Friday so youve got plenty of time.
Der Alta, get back into the game (p.ball) and get that adrenalin flowing.
We are going to play some organized pball at a place called s.w.a.t. and is professionally run. This will be my first time playing in the professional class and field so Ill see how I play with the big boys. ;) Cant wait.
Good luck ppl, its not over yet.
Misnblu

You say we can fully customize suspension heh. Does this mean we could just get the sports package if thats all we wanted?

Maybe I missed something here, but I took a run at this over the weekend, and wound up waaay out there in the dust. ouch.

1'36+. I have the replay, but it's not ready for upload. I still can't figure out how you guys can do this. I'm simply amazed at being able to stand next to some of you as part of the GTPlanet team.

Hopefully I'll get a few more good runs at it this week.

Wow.

AO

Its believable. With the right suspension setup and speed, its quite possible.
Most of the guys on TeamSlow are hardcore performance junkies so I can see that theyre desire in performance shows in the game too.
Like I said, I could only muster up a 1:35.505 as my best time and the BMW was the most capable car to boot.
Good luck, its officially over but still a fun challenge to beat this time.
