You know, beat a driving school challenge by at least one second. What should I tell him? Which is the easiest one to beat by over a second?

Thanks in advance, He'll really appreciate it.

I got mine on 32. It's the double chicane at Dragon Trail. The good thing is it's really short, so you don't invest much time per attempt. Also, I'm a mediocre driver and got it with the DS4.

It should be possible to find plenty of replays in game for this, just head to discover and search! I uploaded mine a couple of days ago. Pretty easy with the Jag ;)

Well, it looks like 24 is my best option. I went through my friends rankings and 24 was the only one beaten by over a second. I'm .650 off at currently.

Thanks 1.06. Event 24 is an easy trophy now. Beat it by almost two seconds. I was .657 shy before the update.
This is so disheartening. Not only were GTS’s limits very relaxed compared to older GTs (looking at you, japanese GT1), now they dumbed times down even further. What’s the point of achievements when you get them by showing up, basically? Never been a fan of achievements for this very reason. Duning-Kruger effect to its best!

You must be snooping around one of my alt accounts. It's a GT5 holdover from the days of duping and trading.

My primary is not shared publicly.
No need to snoop around anything, in your original post text and thread title you say your friend/this guy I know, yet later on refer to it as yourself struggling to get it!
It was pretty obvious as soon as you started the thread it was for yourself, I just couldnt help but wonder why you had to pretend it was for someone else though ;)

Also managed to get gold on the final driving school graduation test last night, was .457 seconds shy before the update then beat it by 1.5 seconds in the end. Yes it was nice to finally get the gold but I felt like I put less effort in this time and still managed to easily beat it, seems as though they changed the time to give some of the more casual drivers a chance!

Still have all golds on this and the curcuit training now, just the mission challenges to do!

The problem with catering for the casuals is long term the game will suffer. It's the hardcore players that will still be around when everyone else have left. Classic case in point, Destiny 2. The first one was awesome, everybody loved it (except pvp), then for D2 Bungie made it easy for the casuals. The game lost its appeal and most have left already.

I totally agree with you there, being an avid Destiny gamer myself my interest has dropped of dramatically since the endgame content is non existant! This is the problem with making games easier for the casuals, once they are done with it they won't come back unike the hardcore players that come back week in and week out because they enjoy it being a challange.

As long as PD make the effort to balance this out I don't think it will suffer, but only time will tell.......

Who among us remembers the Daytona Infield Ferrari last to first event from GT5 Prologue? In-freaking-impossible.

I tried it at least 200 times. Never got better than 4th. Is that fun? Does it make me want to play more?

The GT series is full of one or another nearly impossible events. I tried harder to get the X1 Suzuka full course gold in GT5 than any other video game challenge. I finally did it but it pissed me off more than I felt a sense of accomplishment.

Casual games account for more sales than hardcore games so you've got to please them.

I'm a tweener. I play racing games more than anything but my name will never be on a leader board.

Could it also be that you first tried the test in the early days of playing and not yet learned the track; and now that you have driven it more in the daily races and the like, you have figured out your reference points. I know for me, if I went back to that GT4 graduation test, I bet I could find another half second at the very least.

The easiest ones to do it on one would be the tests with the longest gold times - more opportunities to shave off the milliseconds. I did it on the dragon trail hot lap, don't think it took me more than 5-8 tries to get it.

The plot thickens.

(Not sure the exact figure as not online)
So gold in all diving school is only owned by like 8% of people. Only like 1.5% have it in mission challenges and 2% in Circuit Experience.
As I have said before, people on here are not your normal racers, most already understand racing craft, driving lines, braking points etc and should be Golding the school. The school is about teaching not providing mind destroying challenge. The Mission Challenges and Circuit Experiences are where it gets tougher a bit tougher and most people will struggle to gold them first try, some of them are really quite tough to complete.

Note that it is also highly likely that we will get more challenges, experiences as things are further developed and released.

I just golded all of driving school yesterday and I got the promise of greatness trophy as well. GT sport just became the easiest GT game ever. I've never had all golds in any GT ever.

So I already had all gold in driving school events but didn't have this trophy. I tried last night (first time I've had a chance to play since 1.06 update) to get it by doing the GTR GR.4 test around Kyoto and beat gold by like 1.4s - Not massive compared to some guys on here, but for my standard its pretty good!

I got this fairly easy, dont remember which test but as it was loading, I watched the video and saw a spot where I knew I could go faster than in de instruction video itself. It helps watching them. ;)
