This guy should be taken out of his car by the ears, strung up, and shot. Then everything he owns should be sold and the money donated to innocent victims of street racing and drifting.

There is no - zero - excuse for this, no matter how cool you may think it is. There is no room for discussion on that.

I most definately agree. people who wring out their cars on the street in any way shape or form are just idiots and they endanger us all.

Wow......What a moron....he could find a track and have an equally good time, but some people like him have to ruin it all for us.....

What a complete muppet.

Wait a minute, I think I know that guy, his name is Juan Kerr!
Then again it could be one of many Juan Kerrs on the roads, along with a huge amount of Richard Heads and R. Soles that are a danger to us all!

Agreed. This man obviously missed the video warning at the beginning of NFSU about just playing the game when he feels the Need for Speed. :indiff:

There's still no reason to attack drifting as a whole. People are going to drift, and they are going to race - on or off a track. People are stupid. You can't stop things like this from happening. As long as an idiot holds a liscence in his hand, bad stuff is gonna go down.

If you're going to blame legal track-based drifting on these idiot street drifters, then you may as well blame every other form of racing for street racing. It's unfair to those of us who would rather particiapte in a legal event than risk our own, our passengers', and everyone else on the road's lives.

There's no reason for a silly "anti-drift faction". What we need is to get more troopers or beat cops out there to police the roadways, and lay down huge penalties for street racing/drifting. :grumpy:

That's just plain stupid. I don't care what people do with there cars on a track, but drifting like that on a public road is completely nuts!

Mind you racing on public roads is just as bad, but it really doesn't matter what form of idiocy they're using to endanger our lives, it needs to be put to a stop. There's really no way to stop it, it will happen anyway, but something should be done.

I guess building more tracks that are available for a fairly cheap price could help a bit but I really don't think it's any real solution to the problem. :indiff:

Who's the retard with the camera? I think he's dumber than the driver. Old Vid btw. Jeff, why am I suddenly getting rushes of Steve's bro in my head right now?

Ya, you see, we didn't do it, in the middle of a highway offramp, 2 lanes wide, and cars coming at you, we did in an empty 4 lane road, Jesus ****ing christ, how many times did you have to bring that up, plus we were only doing like 20km/h. Not 100km/h on a 2 lane curve with cars coming at you......

It's still dumb . No matter how 'safe' it is it's still frieking stupid. And why were you doing 20km on a 4 lane road anyway?

I agree. What an idiot.
I liked the part when the person started to talk, but the words wernt real words. Twas funny.

WTF!!! someone take his licence away please!!!

i hate people who always try to impress you with their cars. take tonight for example, i just finished work and i was standing outside with one of me mates. this guy comes up to the pedestrian crossing in his new holden monaro, slows down, looks at us, then decides to gun it trying to be 'cool'. we both flipped him off "what a wanker". i dont care if your car is fast or sounds good, gunning it or cranking up your stereo as you pass doesnt make you cool!!

OMG What a BUMBASS! Yeah I am against this type of drifting or form what ever you want to call it but if people think drifting is stupid including Rally racing then I think that is just plain stupid since Rally racing is a form of extreme talent.

Rally drivers don't "drift". They don't get sideways for style points, they get sideways to make it through a turn in a nice flowing manner. Huge difference.

What he said. They do it for speed on extremely loose or slippery surfaces, NOT for fun on good road. Watch them on tarmac stages - they don't get sideways except on extremely tight hairpins. It just costs time and tires.

They were real words. They just weren't real English words.

Hey it wasn't my fault damnit, I wasn't the driver, I was in the backseat when he decided to do that.....It was a ride home for me, and I didn't know thatw as gonna happen.......

There used to be a show on Spike TV called "Super 2NRTV." In one episode, the co-hosts (undisclosed names) teamed up with Super Street magazine and did some afterhours drifting on the street. Televised it and all. And of course, he co-hosts said "this is very, very illegal, so don't try this." And then I seen the video that I downloaded with NetTransport. From what I seen, it was a BMW drifting hard around this little roundabout. I've said that drifting is pretty fun, but there's a time and place for things like this. Whether it's 7 in the morning or 7 at night, there's really no excuse for taking such chances. Cars can be replaced, life cannot. You take a risk drifting around in public.

I'm going to perhaps come up with a follow-up topic to my thread on preventing illegal street racing thread, but something has to be done about this. I know drifting is fun, but take it to the track. If you're not near a track, then don't do it. Games make drifting glamourous, but there's no glamour in sliding your car out when you can be hit by another vehicle, or you slam into someone else. Don't want insurance to rise up? Show some sanity.

By the way, before I downloaded the video, I thought it was going to be about a driver crashing hard into something or someone while drifting. So let's keep this stuff to the track, you dig me?

Pro:

It was a great drift that anybody could be proud of.

Con:

It was in a location endangering many people and many things, therefore should never be replicated.

It should never have been attempted in the first place.
