Okay, so past GT games...have a less than stellar soundtrack....Big deal. After all, It's not like you need a good soundtrack in a racing game...wrong. I really think a good soundtrack gives a game the extra "oomph" and it seems incredible that GT still has a bad set of tunes.

But all they have to do is to add one-just one-song and this game would be completely awesome. (Not like it wouldn't already be incredibly awesome, but this would push it into the bounds of awesome that awes God himself.

Lost weekend by The Qemists.

Because ,honestly, four other racing games (FM3, Dirt 2, NFS:Shift, and Motorstorm:Artic Edge) are using it, and there's a reason: It's got to be the best song ever for racing, since it's so high energy....imagine it coming on in the middle of an intense online race in the Nurburing....that would be incredible.

An option to insert custom playlists will be included in the game. There's a thread already made for people with favourite driving tunes:

Linky

I'm still really looking forward to hear what songs PD have already included. 👍

Actually, I find most songs in Gran Turismo to be very good. Especially the first three games.
It's always been a strong point of the series (err...Except the North American versions).

Personally I'm turning off all music and cranking up the engine sounds if there good.

It's already in Dirt2 so...no.
But if you like it you'llbe able to add it to your custom playlist.

Lost weekend by The Qemists is in: NFS Shift, Forza 3, Dirt 2 and Motorstorm Pacific Rift. I sure hope this song isn't in GT5 even though this song is pretty good simply because it's so overused!

I believe it was "Stompbox" that was in Pacific Rift:

I find that song (along with the Subscape Dub remix of "Dem na like me") miles better then "Lost Weekend" and I agree that song is completely overused and I really get tired of hearing it.

Lost Weekend is used because it's an awesome song. Nothing else.

Just mute the TV and turn on speakers with your fave music. As simple as that.

There you go. There's also that Custom Soundtrack feature, which I myself am already enjoying in GT PSP as well as Tekken 6 therefore I have no need to request what song should be in the game.

Well yeah, but look at the entire Forza 3, and Dirt 2 soundtracks. It's as if the developers were working together to choose the songs  Not so much with NFS Shift which actually has a really good soundtrack. I'm just completely against GT5 containing any Qemists or Justice or Chase & Status. It would go extremely against the nice smooth music that GT always had.

In no way am I saying that the songs by any of these 3 bands are bad(Justice is one of my favorite ever actually), I just disagree with the usage of them in GT5.

Meh, I would have to peacefully disagree with that. Its ok, nothing special. I just don't find it as good as "Stompbox" which has no vocals and it has a steady beat that works in my opinion with most action-oriented games.

I usualy have the music turned down to where I can barly hear it anyways, so I'm not to consernd about the soundtrack. Plus, GT5 will have a custom soudtrack option so if a song you want is not in the game then download it to you PS3's harddrive and add it to your list.

Ha I like the jazzy tunes gt has like when your at the menu screen or selecting a car its just nice to relax to before a big race and makes the game feel more... I dont know rich? or Fancy? Plus its great to drink to.

Not my kind of song, but rejoice, we'll have custom soundtracks. Although even without that feature, at least I could always tune out the music I didn't like, unlike other games, which for some reason assume that your "friends" need voices. I really wish game devs would go back to onscreen text for some things...voice acting is always so much better when done in my head. :)
