This there a major update in GT5P?

Hello, I am a new member of this Forum, but I got a question. Will GT5P have a new update or have Polyphony Digital scrap the update and include it in the full version of the game, just to get the game released as early as possible?

You know this is kind of funny you brought this up.

I was in Gamestop the other day and was poking questions at the guys working there , GT5 got brought up. Both of the workers insisted that there were to be no more updates on Prologue except for online event changes and that Prologue was going to evolve into the full game as a massive download when it's ready. I have heard this rumour before in the past , and just kind of brushed it off.I asked the guys there working for some sort of article or proof of this , they said the article was in one of the gamer magazines being sold out on the market. They looked for their copy of the magazine that made this claim , but could not find it ( hmmmmmm ) interesting.

No, I meant what is there any information about the new update, or have the company thrown it away.

Because I worried if there is no more updates in GT5P. :indiff:

Well, the only thing i can say for sure is that Gamestop clerks are never a good source of info. I've heard all kinds of stupid things during the time i lived in the U.S.

While i also heard about this possibility, if i recall Yamauchi denied in his last interview that this was going to happen.

Don't see that happening. No full GT5 on disc would be a marketing disaster. Not everyone can, or wants to download massive files.

Thats why I said ( hmmmmmmm ) interesting , especially when they all of a sudden could not find the magazine they were reffering to.

AGREED : GT5 , on it's own seperate disc , no downloads.

That would be impossible as far as I know. I even remember Kaz stating that the game would be too big in terms of file size to add it to the PS Store, so it's only going to be available on disc.

And don't ever trust GS employees. They know as much (usually, less) as the average gamer.

Gamestop is biased against the PS3. Trust me on this because for Killzone 2, this guy went into Gamestop and asked to pre-order it, and the dude working there said it sucks and Gears of War and Halo 3 is better. Interesting...

But it could just be the people working there.:odd:

Hello, I new member of this Forum, but will the demo have a new update or did, or have Polyphony Digital have scrapped the update and include it the full version of the game, to get it released as early as possible?
You're from UK and don't know proper english? :dunce:

If you updated recently that is it. I don't think there will be another update to prologue.

This kinda of bias attitude (and a statement about a game he has not played) from a shop worker must be very damaging for Sony. It's not the first time I have heard this kind of tripe from know-it-all Game / Gamestop staff. There are obviously customers that listen to this rubbish from these 'game experts'.

Back on topic. I don't think any of us know how much more will come to Prologue. I remember one of the Polyphony staff responding to a question I asked on the US Blog when the last update came out. He said 'there will be more gameplay updates'.

The full game might be a downloadable option, although I doubt it with hundreds of cars and tens of tracks, videos and audio. I think it'll require a Blu-ray and it'll almost certainly be for sale on disc. I think a new Gran Turismo on the shelves will grab a lot of attention. I came across a potential customer the other day that hasn't even signed up for the PSN and he has had his PS3 for months.

Sorry, it meant to be this:

This is simply not going to happen. There are lots of 40GB PS3s out there, many with high percentages of disk usage, so the game won't fit in them. As soon as you install four or five games and a bunch of demos in those consoles, you'll run out of disk space.

I bet GT5 will only be available in a proper BD.
