OK. Let me rephrase that:

Finally a 300mm add on rim that looks like it came out of a GT car !

(I'm just bitter because I spent a lot more than the cost of this wheel ..... to basically create this wheel. Bad timing on my part) :banghead:

:D

This rim looks very tasty, but since the press release states "Q4", I expect it to be released to select markets in Q4 (including US, UK, France, Germany, various APAC countries) and as usual to have to wait 3-6 months before it appears in shops here. Maybe I'll be able to get one by Christmas, we'll see...

I expect an exclusive ISR (p)review video in September, to tease us prior to release :D

I like the wheel, but I'm a little hesitant about the material. I'm afraid it will show wear fairy quickly. Can anyone with a suede style wheel comment on the durability?

Well they say they use the same quality as real car marques.
All will show signs of usage eventually but gloves would help reduce the wear.

My old Fanatec GT2 used Alcantara® which is synthetic and I never had issues with wear. A little Google searching seems to indicate it tends to pill up and look a little ratty after heavy use. If you're concerned wear gloves.

The GT rim for my CSW V2 is suede, so we'll see how that holds up. From what I've seen suede tends to wear smooth over time.

Is this the same size wheel as the T300 stock rim?
No

The stock T500 rim (the one without paddles attached) is 30cm diameter, as is this new one.
All other Thrustmaster T-series rims (TX, GTE, stock T300RS, TM28 leather, F1) are 28cm diameter.

What do you guys think about the button assignments for PCars, using this wheel?

I pre ordered, but I am a bit worried about the buttons. I'm on PS4, guess I can throw some buttons the controller for my PS4?

Cannot use the controller buttons and wheel at the same time in race, Has to be a usb keyboard.

Any link for UK?

I noticed with TX servo Base it wasn't available anywhere with all the main UK based stockists but was on their own offical site.

For UK it may be best to keep an eye on the official site. No doubt someone will update this thread with places for pre-orders.

UK Site is now listing expected stock date of September 28/29

Personally not so fond of SLAP TRAIN's style, bit excitable and loud for me.
Seems less professional in that he puts less attention or accurate details / focus on the product than on his personality style of presentation to promote his own channel or wares.

Best pronunciation of "Alcantara" ever (Alan-tra)

WOT IS GOING ON!!! :)

Nice looking rim... if I didn't already have a custom rim I'd be all over it. I might just get one anyways for those rare occasions a game doesn't like using add on controllers, although I don't see myself swapping out my pedals in those situations.

Interested to hear Alans views, look forward to his review/comments...
Curious what the exact weight is? (see 1st post)

Not sure if Alan ever had the Fanatec GT3 RS or GT2 Alcantara rims but think this is the closest to those and they felt lovelly.

Main concern for me is the quality of the wrap over the rim and stitching.

Another, from Digiprost.
Superb unboxing combined with the TX Servo Wheel Base.

This is the setup many will be after including myself for Forza 6
