Thrustmaster T-GT ii ffb causing menu pop up.

Hi,

Glad to be here with my first post.
This is a strange one and hoping it can be resolved:

Setup:
T-GT2 with pedals attached to Base.
Base connected to pc (usb2) port.
Wheel rim attached to metal wheel adaptor, so no gears or buttons.
Th8a shifter connected to usb 2 port on pc.

Issue:

When racing, ffb effects are working but every now and again (during strong ffb events) the in game menu flashes up.
How can that be when I don't have any buttons to press?

I've also noticed while testing forces in the driver software, when I select some of the ffb tests the buttons turn on within the screen while the ffb test is running I.e. crash, associated button flashes on the screen as if I've pressed it on the wheel.

But I have no buttons.

Any ideas?

You need to connect an official Thrustmaster Rim to the T-GT base to avoid this.

Thrustmasters way of controlling people from doing what they want.

It's the same on other brands (quick example: on Fanatec bases you need to use a Fanatec HUB to use a third party wheel even if there is no buttons on the wheel).
