Thrustmaster T-GT loses connection suddenly

Hello,

I got the Thrustmaster T-GT yesterday. I have connected the steering wheel as specified and started it. Afterwards the steering wheel calibrates itself error-free. I start GT Sport and drive a race. After about 10-15 laps the steering wheel suddenly loses the connection to the PS4 and starts to turn back and forth in a quarter circle (see analog video). All knobs and buttons do not react anymore, only restarting the console helps. This problem occurs again and again after this procedure. Updating a new firmware did not help either. Now the question arises whether this is a defect or can be fixed in another way. The steering wheel is exactly one day old and therefore this is really annoying. Please help, thanks.
Greetings

@kober22 did you resolve this?

I am having the same issue as you described - wheel suddenly decides to cut out and reset. Need to reboot console to get the wheel to work properly again. Though I have had no major problems for over a year since I had mine, until now.

How was your problem resolved?

My wheel, the second one with control issues, suddenly started to disconnect frequently. Today is worse than yesterday, and today the vibration system went haywire, too. The wheel disconnects, then the connection can be re-established with the normal PS button/X combo. I sprayed contact cleaner where I could, but that did nothing obvious.

My wheel is less than two years old. So was the original one when it started to have a control problem.

I sent Thrustmaster a service request form, but they have not responded yet.
