Hey everyone, I'm using a Thrustmaster T500RS for the first time, and it's brand new out of the box (we're going to be using it on the live stream I posted about on the home page).

The problem is the clutch pedal is acting as the gas, and the gas pedal does nothing. I did some very quick searching but couldn't find any solution. Has anyone experienced this before and know how to fix it?

Jordan, I'm no T500RS owner, but I believe this due to the fact that you can set the pedals either in GT or F1 modes. There should be a button on the wheel for you to toggle between these modes.

I believe it has something to do with PS3 or PC mode button.

Download the PC drivers and try again, see exactly how the screen reacts to the pedals' input.

I do not own one but on ISR's review, I think it showed two different menu's for calibrating in GT5, I think one is GT mode and the other F1 mode, I could be wrong though

check the "mode"-button on the lower left corner of the housing. if you use the wheel in F1-style (pedals from the ground), then the light should be red. if it is gt-style, the light should be blue.

This- red light is for F1 setup (the default) and the green (not blue) is for the inverted GT setup. You press the mode button to toggle between the two modes/colours.

It's all explained in the manual- yes, the little booklet we tend to ignore but one that has (almost) all the answers :)

I can't thank you guys enough for pointing this out so quickly. It was, of course, the mode button!

I think this was some type of prototype we were using for the broadcast and I didn't see a manual anywhere. It completely forgot there would be a different pedal layout needed for the top-hinged pedal configuration. :dunce:

You can watch the wheel that you saved in action here. :)
