Hey guys, I just read Microsoft are making the Xbox One backwards compatible with 360 games. You can check out the article here:

http://au.ign.com/articles/2015/06/...ackward-compatibility-update-enables-360-xbla

So if Forza 4 and Forza 3 become available to download on the Xbox One, does this mean we should be able play these games with a TX wheel or any other XB One wheel??

Would it be a straight port or would Turn 10 have to tweak the game (ie: add additional drivers) to make it compatible with XB One wheels??

Cheers.

Microsoft changed from the XID protocol force feedback I think. That would be significant tilt towards a no I would expect.

I think it will be possible. Yes another protocol is used, but this is also the case for the XB1 gamecontrolers.

Don't think i will ever play Forza 3/4, but i will try my Fanatec hub with them when they are available on the XB1.

Forza 3 had a bizarre issue where if you had any kind of oversteer the steering lock suddenly switched from 900 degrees down to 270. I called it "heroic mode" because you could hold slides like the world's greatest drifter without a care.
Forza 4 was the first one to offer reasonable 900 degrees wheel support, although it was very non-linear and I always used a linearity tweak on my GT2 when playing it to avoid sensitive steering around center. Oh, and of course just like all Forza games there's a built in excessive tendency to oversteer, but you will presumably know that from Forza 5.

Other than that... Forza 4 had an amazing car list, and it was a laugh.
