My computer is blasted, too much crap cluttering up everything and it's been hit with viruses and the like more times than... well some tortured soul. Anyway, i want to format and i reckon i've got everything sorted but i'd thought i'd check with you guys (as you seem to know so much more about everything than i do).

SO, aside from backing up my important files and making sure i have cd's to install software again, what drivers do i need to insure i have and startup disk shiite. I've got windows 98 and two hard disks; 20 gig and 40 gig. The smaller one is for windows and the larger for programs and files. Any suggestions here too?

Much appreciated people

**** i knew i forgot to ask a question

Do you need to know what drivers you need?

Video
Sound
Monitor
Motherboard
Modem/Network
External Devices (Printers, Fax, etc.)

The rest of the hardware should be automatically installed by Windows, unless the hardware is newer than the OS. If so, you need to get drivers for that hardware as well.
