Time to make a wheel setup...

So after playing GT7 for a couple of weeks I have to say I am hooked. Loved the physics and I am thinking of pausing my progress (cafe menu 37) to continue with a wheel setup.

I was fixated on getting the GT DD PRO, since gt7 came out but all this ffb debacle has turned me down. I loved getting all the ecosystem but since I am going to be playing GT7 for quite a while it's going to be a NO for me since neither Fanatec or PD are planning to solve or even acknowledge the issue.

So I think there are 2 options currently since a thrustmaster dd for consoles is a long way.

Buying a Logitech G pro wheel which is quite the cost 🥲 or making a T300 setup with TH8 and decent pedals. It's quite a bit less and I think the feeling will be fine since it's belt driven. I am never going back to a gear driven wheel since I sold my G27...

Anyone that want to help me out on this decision?

TIA

P.S. I think the best wheel stand to get is the Apex from GT OMEGA. Quite sturdy and foldable.

Why should Fanatec solve the problem? The issue is with Polyphony Digital and GT7 alone. The DD Pro wheel is superb in ACC, a game where the developer took time and effort with the FFB...totally the opposite of PD.
People really need to get their facts straight and stop pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

Correct but doesn't change the fact that DD PRO is lifeless in GT7...

Fanatec should complain to PD heavily as this certainly affects sales.

I have a DD Pro, partly being a longer time Fanatec user with existing HW. I find GT7 to be ok yes there is a lot of debate on the FFB, and after a lot of wheel tuning and driving, I think they have an issue wit the tire model. The factors used for contact seem off and maybe side wall stiffness - driving the CM, CS tires and even the SH tires feel more alive than the slicks depending on the car - still not as good as it could be but you can still enjoy GT7 with a DD Pro wheel.

In other games I’m very happy with it particulary ACC. So base your decision on the rest of the gear you might want - wheels, pedals shifter etc. I really love the V3 inverted pedals for a very ”car like” experience. All the brands have some pros and cons but its sad that PD has not leveraged the DD Pro to full. Still I think some of the debate is a bit over blown IMO

Yes I agree with you that the difference might not be so dramatic.
