Ohhhh, squeezed into the top 100. Borderline should hold. I think so, only lost two positions since last night. Man, I thought this one was very tough, really had to work for it unlike some other top 100’s which at times comes to you a bit too easy. At least compared the effort and time I put in here. Messes a bit with your mind. But to be fair, the car in stock form isn’t the quickest and Tsukuba is super short so it makes sense...

Had these laps.

4th 10 laps stint at Tsukuba, no VR this time, no improvement of best lap, optimal a bit better and medium too.

2nd 10 laps stint at Spa, little improvement of best lap, good improvement of optimal. Need to string everything together and not faq T1 then make a decent Eau-Rouge and next lap get a decent T1 and faq Eau-Rouge... and when the miracle occurs not drive like a moron on the other turns... oh well, there's some time left to improve.

It's not been a great New Year, struck down with some horrible flu strain which has stolen all my energy, so it was nice to get a tiny bit of joy returning to the haunted hairpin for an hour today...

This might be it for me, energy levels are still low. If any of this lot of aliens best me before Thursday, I send warm congratulations, you deserve it, beating down a crippled shivering old man in his hour of darkness, celebrate away and have a magical 2025 ✨🥳✨
Well, you motivated me to go again, and good thing you did :D

One last push tomorrow night, but I doubt I'll beat you, that's a very impressive time :D

Let's start a little off-topic, but I'll get to the TT stuff, I promise ;)

So I had these guys in the mail today (many thanks @Vule for the recommendation) ...

and obviously I had to install them right away :D

I guess the blue / yellow combo is an unusually "soft" one compared to what most people seem to use, but then again I also have the load cell brake configured to just 40% of its max power. Any more would not work with my setup (pedals placed on the floor), but I'm not complaining - 40% feels firm enough for me to be honest.

I'm happy to report that brake feeling is greatly improved, it feels so much more natural now. I still kind of expected that it would take me some time to rebuild my muscle memory and get back to my previous pace, but that does not seem to be the case at all. I tried Tsukuba one more time, and within a couple of laps I was in striking distance of my PB. And 25 minutes later I had bested it by almost three tenths 😲

Now I'm not saying this is necessarily caused by this mod, maybe I just had a good day. But at the very least I'm not slower than before, and having more fun on the road. Highly recommended!

Happy lapping everyone!

Glad I could help :) If it feels too soft, you can always use just one spring + 2 elastomers, or order another yellow and use two of them, maybe even red, green, whatever, there could be a hundred different levels of stiffness with these springs, they are dirt cheap and you can experiment until you find the perfect combo :)

actually it makes a huge difference to put springs. Like you, I changed the Load Cell springs for 10 days now, using 1 yellow and 1 blue. And it's a radical change. Afterwards I no longer know how much the Load Cell is configured but I am really very happy with it. And very happy not to have put 300€ into the V3

Thanks a lot @Vule for your help

Well, I'm in silver range at Tsukuba. I've got less than a day to try to make an effort to the gold territory. I'm tired right this moment so I'm going to run a few more laps and go to bed. I reckon we'll see how it goes. I hope I get some deep sleep and have a fresh mind when I get up. And then I can maybe earn a gold-level time. The real challenge is going to be at Spa. Not a walk in the park there. So far, my PB is a 1'04.658 at the moment. But that could change real soon before the deadline.
