Ok, done for now, but not sure if it's enough to hold.

Expected it to take longer, so cool. Didn't feel like it at first, but it was fun with this car (after getting hang on its steering habits).

Not this kind of fun is expected at the Nurb...

I'm excited to try the new Nurburgring TT. This time it should be easier than the one with the NSX thanks to no Tuning and also using Gr.3 cars which are the types that most people are comfortable with (not me, I'm more Gr.1/Formula type cars).

Still going to be a struggle for a lot of people though.

Tried the Grand Valley - South TT with the Wicked, and it's really easy. After about 66km of getting used to the car and track and trying to put a time good enough to stand for gold for the next 5 days, I was able to get a 1:16.210 and can easily reach the 1:15s but won't need to bother with it, gold is secured:

I'll definitely be using my first Gr3 love in the LM II on one of my accounts. For the try hard time, probably the Supra. I know it took a little bit of a hit in the most recent update but it was pretty good during the Manu race at the Nurb Endurance layout, especially when you consider there is no tire wear in TT.
I'm using the Ford GT LM II to learn the track / get a feel for the TT. I'll be switching between the Ford and the Citroen by GT. The sound and stability of the Ford make me feel like a (slow) hero.

❤️ supercharged racecars.

I broke into silver with it this morning with the LM II: 8:27.548

Ah, the Nurburgring TT. I hated the track when I was younger. But once I learned my way around in GT5, I fell in love with it. Gold at the moment in the Supra. But honestly, the lap was a hot mess. Going wide and putting my wheels off in some exits, way too tentative all around following the carousel causing me to catch curbs and grass as I cut in too early on many corners, more than a few butt puckering moments involving slideways exits out of various turns, etc...There is lots to improve upon. I reckon I can get into the low 8:10's with practice and cleaner laps.

And this was my daily mileage 'reward' for all my work around the Green Hell. Gee, thanks PD.

The '51 Ford takes a while to get used to because it has a few quirks; namely a crappy 5th gear ratio. Fortunately, the car handles well and once you know the track limits, you can get a good time. I did a 1:17.242 which should be enough to stay in the gold bracket.

I played for like half an hour today and dropped my time in the GV TT by a tenth to 1'17.181. I really hope it holds because I have no desire to play any more of that. I should have just skipped this one had I known I would dislike it so much.

And I'm going to give the Nurburgring TT a pass. I hate the Nordschleife.

I honestly wouldn't be so sure. Because it's such a short lap, the top time would only have to drop by 0.168 for your time to drop out of gold. I'm worried about my time. I'm pretty confident I can better it, but I don't want to bother putting in any more effort. I'll see what the situation is Wednesday afternoon.

I could go a little bit faster if I had to. I left some time on the table.

Oh (green) hell. I might see what I can do at the Ring next week.

As for Grand Valley, I've got my time down to a 1:17.046. I know I can do a mid 16, because I posted one on a lap with the faintest of cuts in the middle sector...

The green hell track for me has the higher ratio attractivity/knowledge

In order the set clean laps I need brake reference (the red strjps) , countersteering, and tc2, but I really enjoy it.
My red fish memory us a challenge here, remembering the track is quite mission impossible, but at least I'm starting to memorize some pieces.

I tried the supra, but I really don't fit with it. It's not just this track, it's overall. I don't like and cannot get used to the way it trail brakes, and here this is killing.
I spent 1 hour with it, than swapped to nissan and in two laps I was 15s quicker.
On the other side nissan loose a lot in the straights.

I'm going to try the lambo, it was quite a surprise foelr me at fuji, and I'm curious to see it here

I'm finding the whole experience of an 8 minute time trial is greatly enhanced by the fact that my game crashes every time I hit pause>Retry when I mess up.
Yeah, it still there after the update, I must say in the hour I did spend this morning, my loading times seem a lot longer, like trippel the time, but the freezes were less on my side, only one I like 10 restarts,
The 8 minutes focus does seem to be a problem 🤣🤣

I set a time at the Nurburgring 24h time trial that wasn't even within 6% of the top time...this might end up being my first bronze. But I'll see how I can improve with the 911 RSR, and if I really need to, I'll try the GR Supra Racing Concept.

First time to log in for a few days today. Did anyone else get a crash when receiving their medal and credits for the Fuji TT?

I think that I scraped into gold, but the congratulations messages flashed up for half a second and then disappeared. The controller started to make a weird ringing sound - like the sound you get when you win credits, but that sound never stopped even when I went into the new TT at the ring. I can't be certain, but I dont think that I got the credits or the medal. It's all very strange. I had to restart the game to stop the annoying noise, but I am fairly sure that I did not get the credits.

Anyway, I like the ring. I need a tidy lap and a small improvement to get gold, so need to put in the miles.

Had a second lap at the ‘Ring this morning and switched from the M6 Sprint (which I don’t normally use but found a sweet retro Ring inspired livery so felt compelled to use) to my normal 911 RSR. The M6 lap was my first in GT7 in Gr3 on this track so no surprise that I’d ended at 8:48 😂. Anyway, lap in the Porsche this morning was an 8:29 so with a bit more time (which I’m struggling with due to work travel at the moment) I think a solid silver is in my future. Race on!

Yeah that happens pretty often. I did get the credit...never check medal tho.
