How I Met Your Mother Reaction GIF by Laff
Keep Calm and drive

Here are some statistics for TT26 in the Wicked Fabrication GT 51 at Grand Valley - South.

Highlights:
  • Good number of participants at 141,155.
  • Slightly more difficult than average to get gold, around average for silver and easier for bronze.
  • The gap from #1 to #100 was bigger than usual and the proportion of drivers within 1% of #1 smaller than usual, indicating some outstanding skill at the front. There is a trend for this where slippery or road cars are involved; Autodrome Lago Maggiore in the Nissan Z (where @Doodle was #1), Watkins Glen in the Corvette ZR (where @Doodle was #1); not much of a surprise that he was #1 again here; well done Sir.

Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 137 to 135. As usual I've split the graphs because the high early numbers mean the later low numbers are barely legible when all the data is on one graph.

Probably not. Let's call it medium difficult.

  • My time of 1:16.118 left me in position 168, which was in the top 0.12%.
  • Gap to first (1.33%, so the gold streak continues), gap to #100 (0.17%) and percentile were below my overall averages.

If you want a table like this for your results, let me know.
I found this TT the easiest of all. Yesterday I still managed to reduce some time, from 16.2** to 16.135, and as always 8 hours before the end of the event, I use the profile that is in the last places and try to get gold, the first lap to bronze, the second to silver , and as for this TT, on the third lap I had to brake a little so as not to distance too much from the golden time.
Certainly, the same will not happen in these two new events.

Wow, I jinxed it!
Yesterday I mentioned my improvement with the BRZ and today the top spot at the Ring is taken by the BRZ!
Thankfully just a 2 tenths improvement and my time is still good enough for gold 🥺

EDIT: Shaved another second into 8:16.445. I hope I'm safe now.

1'26'989 in new TT (Autopolis) with DS4. It would be so much easier with a steering wheel !!!!!
I did a few laps trying to get the feeling, but man I hate this combo, I just dont like it, ofcourse I'm trying to get the gold on it but the less I have to try the better.
I'm a roadcar dude period 😁
But let's see how far we can go as #teamds4 🤣🤣🤣

Oh man what a journey it has been on the ring.

Started out with basically nothing. Had zero track knowledge and always dreaded the gt3 cars because of their snappy bottoms.

Went with the 911, thought, "well this isn't so bad" and proceeded to learn the track little by little.

4 days, and many crashes later, I had basic track knowledge and managed a 8:28.

I had tried the supra and some other cars but a lap always ended in a spinout.

Today finally got silver with the 911@ 8:23xxx!

I was ecstatic with the result and in a fit of confidence decided, that I should try learning the Supra.
Well lo and behold all of a sudden I was a goddamn Supra whisperer and managed a 8:21.258.
I don't know how or why but now the car is driveable for me.

Time to finally start grinding for that gold!

As always, good luck to everyone and see you on the track!

Thoughts on professional GT drivers vs game drivers. Look at the fastest quali time for Q1. Think it’s possible for them to get an 8:04.xxx like from the fastest time for the current trial on the green hell?

What are your thoughts?

Maybe ACC is just a little more realistic than the real driving simulator?

I finally managed an 8:26 with the 911 so I tried with the Supra as well.

Turns out the Supra and I don’t get along 😂

Just want to post my collected data from all of the TTs we have taken so far:

Naturally, the hardest to gold was the Olympics, since the world's best players almost all of them participated and used every single bit of their skill to put the best time possible and on top of that, we only had a gold margin of 1.5% in comparison to the regular 3%.
It was however the easiest to bronze because we had a whooping 20% margin, so barely anyone failed on this TT.

It's also safe to assume that the most representative TT in terms of driver skill is the Olympics because of the aforementioned reasons, alongside it also having the largest number of participants.

The trend seems to be that the faster the car, the harder it is for the majority of GT7 players to get gold, as seen with the Formula TTs, the Red Bull X2019 TT and now with the Olympics with the Gr.1 GR010.
But it seems like there's a ground where people will be able to adapt quite well because the speed of the cars is on the "sweet spot", ergo, not too fast and not too slow and are overall well balanced, such as Gr.4 and Gr.3 TTs where most people generally have good results on.

Nurburgring as usual is the only exception because of the insane amount of corners (to gain, and lose time on) there is and the fact that it's a very large lap and would thus require someone to spend a quite sickening amount of time on it to get a good time posted.

Finally, into Gold! I’m starting to gel with the 650S, it’s a great ring car IMO and rides the kerbs really well (mostly). The Ring is a bit of a paradox for me because although it’s my favourite/most driven track it’s also the one I’ve developed the most bad habits on.. So going properly quick is a bit of a challenge (I just like going round at 70% just like I do in real life!). I’m sticking with the McLaren although really tempted to try the Supra to see if I get on with it before I’m committed to one car.. The 650S sounds great though and looks the nuts imo

EDIT: Meant to say, I've started driving with TC1 all the way round, it's definitely slowing me down but I did a couple of laps early doors where I span (particularly coming out of both Karussels) and figured it'd be worth losing 1-2 seconds per lap for conistency. Anyone else in Gold doing the same??

(this is a YouTube thumbnail picture should I ever get a clean lap in lol)

I feel it's going to be a grind.

Can confirm that I have the same steering issues that I had on the Olympic Time Trial.

And the person who decided to have variable cloud cover/lighting on the track is idiotic. It's hard enough without actually being able to see clearly. Having to re-load the trial to reset ambient light is ridiculous.

80 miles done. 1:23.8 Best. Controller sensitivity 10, TCS 1.

Okay, first go at the Nurburgring TT, and decided to hop on to my alt account and use my Huracan GT3. First lap I got all the way to the last left-hander and clipped the barrier to get a penalty and write off the lap! Would have been an 8:37...

Restarted and made a few mistakes early in the lap but made up for it over the rest of the lap and kept it fairly clean, but definitely wasn't pushing to the limit, taking a cautious approach to record a lap time. Crossed the line 8:30 flat.

My modified replica of Daigo Saito's D1GP Murcielago drift car turned into a Super GT car will serve me well for this one. I can easily find 5s over the lap to get into silver. Gold will be a stretch...

The Nurb time has come down a chunk, with the top two times being the BRZ. Interesting.

Did some laps on the SF23. Was more difficult than I thought, but I think it was just a matter of getting used to the car. Best time thus far is a 23.7; I think that will hold. Worst of my accounts' times is a 24.2; that may not hold. Actually enjoy this one as I like the SF cars so I will likely revisit.

Want to go back to Nord and see if I can improve but also want to do some TTing for the next Nations in the SF as well.

Just bought a wheel (G923) and did a 8:39....this was the first lap I did without crashing (took 3 laps). It was a good 20 seconds slower than my PB with the DS5...but man...that was fun!

Now I know why racing drivers need to work on their legs....my left leg is TIRED from braking!

Edit: just did 2 more laps and it quickly improved to 8:28

I totally didn't just do a time a few hours after it dropped and take a screenshot before the fast people got out of bed... Early worms and birds and stuff.

Also I pushed myself a bit more and tried the Porsche 911 at the Nurburgring and got an 8:14.767, which at the time was within the top 1000 and was also the fastest time in New Zealand (for my ego's sake I'm not going to check again)

You are going to become the secretary of statistics !!!!
:) I don't mind for the unique names like these two; it's when it is "Senna" or such, of which there are tons, when it becomes more tricky. Still doable though as I now have all the profile names, which are unique, alongside the GT7 nicknames.
