Oh damn the aliens are going crazy on N24 😱 I’m at 2,98% nowPlease aliens....... get on to Autopolis and forget the Nordschleife.... 🤣 I thought my 17.133 was waaayyyy save..... I'm doubt it now with 6 more days on the clock 🤨🤣
Thanks a lot @half_sourly so I can see that I still have a lot of work to do to reach the level of certain pilots 🥵🥵🤣🤣
This morning it was still fine but the bastards kicked me to silver 🤣🤣Oh damn the aliens are going crazy on N24 😱 I’m at 2,98% now
You're welcome. You have been making excellent progress though; no bronze since TT14, gold in the last 2, all percentiles and gap to #1 below long-term average since TT14.Thanks a lot @half_sourly so I can see that I still have a lot of work to do to reach the level of certain pilots 🥵🥵🤣🤣
All medals are based off the fastest time (103%, 105%, & 110% typically for gold, silver, and bronze respectfully). If the fastest time changes, so do all the required times for medals. Why is the time changing?! I was very close to silver on Nür (only 0,300 something), but now I'm over a second behind, same happend to another time trial, I had silver, but suddenly I only had bronze.
Ah okay, some aliens owns me some in-game credits then...All medals are based off the fastest time (103%, 105%, & 110% typically). If the fastest time changes, so do all the required times for medals.
Bravo mon ami !!!!👏👏👏👏. With your DS4 you are in automatic or manual transmission ?Nurburgring 24h - days 3 and 4.
After brief pause for adult matters I went back to this TT.
Decided to try some other cars to see if something tickles my fancy.
Genesis X GR3 - quick but snappy, too much risk
Corvette C7 Gr.3 - bit more stable, but the rear still nervous on the exits, need to lift too much
GR Supra RC '18 (at the beginning I tried GT500 '97 thinking it is the most used meta because it is THE Supra for me) - no, I wanna live
Finally thought to myself that FR cars are too nervous for my directional buttons/X+O driving and looked over for some MR car.
Decided to go with the Peugeot RCZ Gr.3 and stuck with it for the rest of my tries.

This car is so planted and it somehow allows me to open gas very early on exits, also can be muscled (in few places) to do mini slides that help to improve rotation. Great!

Well it is great if it weren't for my last PB lap with RSR which was buggy, but still fast and stringing a decent lap was taking like forever. I restart everytime when I go off track or get penalty, because murdering myself with 5-6 minutes of lap before I can get to start a clean one is not my thing.

The eventual PB lap was fast at first but one ugly (bad braking at Wehrseifen) and few minor mistakes (too much kerb riding) resulted in my ghost to almost catch up, but good drive through Bergwerk and Kesselchen (with speed advantage of the RCZ over RSR) made me gain some space.

As always, completely catastrophical Karussell (I get either spit out off the line or go too slow and drive inside it) before the fast flowing section which went quite ok. The corner before Small Karussell was bad, but my RSR drive there wasn't good as well, so a draw. Nice exit for the long straight made me gain again and finally a time of 8:22.5.

Without major errors in any of the corners I can get to low 20, with a bit of luck maybe even under, but that's it. Can't see the gold now.

Now the real, murderous grind will begin.
Anyone on the ds4 that aim for silver time should really try the Peugeot RCZ, it's very friendly for unprecise steering inputs and will most likely cut their times substantially or at least give hope to do so.

Hi everyone,
I've been a long time lurker of the site and been following @half_sourly TT stats (fantastic work and very much appreciated). I've taken particular interest in his stats because I was very proud of the fact that I had gold in all of the TT's, but that came to an end with the Olympic TT. My country Cyprus was not a participant in the event and I was met with an error saying I could not enter. It would make me feel much better if you could put a notice of some kind or separate it from the other TT's due some countries not being allowed to have a go at it.
Thanks again @half_sourly for the effort you take to bring these stats to us 👍
Welcome to gtplanet. I didn't realise the Olympic event wasn't open to everyone, that's a shame. However, I wouldn't want to separate the results for that event, mainly because:Hi everyone,

Still 4 days left.Gold is impossible for me at the Ring I'm going to settle for silver with a 8:22:290
Consistency is key. If you can manage a lap with no obvious mistakes, you'll get there.Gold is impossible for me at the Ring I'm going to settle for silver with a 8:22:290
Yes, was a real kick in the guts. Don't understand why they did the registration for the event the way they did. They should of done it the regular way they and then if you want to submit your time to the Olympics, then by all means do so. Also missed out on the juicy 4 million payout 😭Oh that's a horrible way to lose your gold streak! That feels entirely unfair.
Thanks for the welcoming @half_sourly. Fully respect the points you make about not wanting to change things, and certainly wouldn't expect you to change how you do things on my behalf.Welcome to gtplanet. And as a final thought, you know what your results have been so I think you can continue to be very proud that you have gold in every TT you took part in.
- It would create extra work and with a new event every week now, my plate is pretty full.
- I'd have to make two of every table or graph in my end-of-event post.
- It would affect averages, ranks for easiest and most difficult, etc. which for the majority of drivers (all those who could take part in the Olympic TT) would then be 'wrong'.
- My statistics are not official, just a community service for entertainment and information.
- If my own experience is anything to go by, that majority that could take part in the Olympic event worked awfully hard for their gold, silver or bronze rewards, so to separate it out would not feel fair on them.
- For those who could not take part if they wanted a personal results table from me, they can say that they couldn't take part in that TT and I'll exclude it from their table.
