The dreaded 3:24:4xx finally became a reality this morning. Again, not the cleanest lap with optimal at 23:6xx but I'm now confident that this puts me in the safe zone.

Briefly tried the TT, got to 1:08:9xx and won't look back. Onto the manufactures!

June 10th, 2023 - The day I reached Sarthe glory! We did it boys, joined the 24’ club! I gave the middle finger to ‘ol Arnage, thanked Porsche for the curves and Sauber for singing such pretty music for about 1500-miles (2400-km’s)

Threw on a livery that reminded me of the time I took 3-hits of LSD at Bonnaroo back in 2010! Lol had to be one with the track!

I chuckled at this one. Didn’t even get mad lol. Instead of focusing on driving my brain decided to tell me “this is where you screwed up last time, you remember? Don’t think of where you’re going, just be distracted”

I had one lap where I hit 30.180 sector 1, absolutely nailed Tetre Rouge as if I were Fuccolo in the 499p, the best first chicane probably of the TT, I’m up 2.3-seconds on my 25.6 session best! Do average on the second chicane, go a bit wide, but I do that probably 35% of the time and only lose a couple tenths normally

… and then out of the blue the dreaded 0.5-sec penalty flashes!!! It was soul-crushing! Out of reaction I hit restart, forgetting I have a monster lead and probably could have still made gold!

Loving the commitment from everyone in working these times down - well done!! I had a quick go with the Audi TT last night and worked down to a gold time quite quickly, but if I’m honest, managing the understeer around that track is not something I find super enjoyable. Challenging yes, fun no. So I’m going to keep an eye on times and make sure my gold time holds, and go back to Le Mans (because why wouldn’t you this weekend of all weekends) and try and get into the 23’s from my current 24.2. Watching the race this morning while I get some work done is just making the wait harder!

3:33.052 at LeMans this morning! Still ways to go for silver but knocked over a second off my previous best and just got into top 40,000, so I'm chuffed with that!
That Audi trial in the wet isn't much fun for me, but I did get into bronze in the first four or five laps. Need to concentrate on getting under 3:33 at LeMans....

Watching Le Mans all day (well I’ve had it on). The race is so much more interesting knowing the track as well as I currently do. And the in car cams are great. Seeing their lines and brake throttle makes you realize GT7 has done a great job

They need to add a legit hour+ endurance race on this track and mimic the 24-hour cycle like Spa

Here are some statistics for TT29 in the GReddy Fugu Z at (deep breath) Willow Springs International Raceway: Streets of Willow Springs Reverse. As I am still on holiday and away from my laptop, this is a reduced results service brought to you from my tablet. I will fill in the gaps when I get home at the weekend.

EDIT 11 June - Now updated

Highlights:

  • Participation was the lowest since TT14 at Nordschleife. Not surprising given it was a pretty difficult combination and the fourth difficult one in a row.
  • Only 3.8% of drivers got gold and 31% got no reward.

Drivers with gold in all TTs (to follow)
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 130 to 127. The 'extra' S-rated driver is G.Barbara who went from A+ to S in the period.

  • With being away I've not spent time on this TT since probably the Sunday after it launched. Time set then held up okay as I finished 420th.
  • Gold streak maintained.
I have now updated the results post for TT29

The Tsukuba TT is very fun, actually. I did 1:09:776 at ease on Friday and thought: well this is enough for gold. Then I just saw that the gold time was at 1:09:774, I got absolutely mental about it, so gave it a try once again and did a very good lap at 1:09:473. For my skill, which I consider average (could be good with more practice and a good wheel), I can't complain. I hope it is enough for gold

Edited after Famine pointed out that this is TT topic thread and not real life Le Mans 24h. I have full respect for GT planet and users of it. Hope i haven't spoiled anything. If I did ruin the fun for someone, I apologize.

Whoever is into Le mans 24h race, I mean the real one, not TT in the game, and want to watch but don't have access to TV channels that broadcast the race, there is live stream from both Ferrari and Porche. Ferrari on YouTube and Porche on their webpage. 4 hours still left if you are interested.

That hoodcam on thr Ferrari is so cool, it sounds a bit squeeky on the lifts an acceleration but with that hybrid power it realy goes like crazy, they make it look easy 🤣🤣 but I'm enjoying it!

Started trying to follow and watch when possible, WEC races and some of the GT3 leagues, last year. So much fun (had a longer post but phone browser decided to reload on me and I’m too lazy to re write lol)

We have a thread for this, in the correct subforum - and all the streams are provided:

Posting things that could spoil these events outside the appropriate thread is not only inconsiderate but unacceptable.
Fair enough no spoilers but we’ve all been grinding this TT all week and just sharing the experience of watching the race after getting so much track exposure is fun

Im with @Saargasm this, its a direct link to our running TT? and i do not understand the inconsiderate part?, what do you mean ?

But fair enough ofcourse, rules are rules, sorry 😁

Today I started game, went to TT and Tsukuba isn't gold anymore...
So time to try to get in gold zone again.
It took 42km to lowered to 1:09.702 and now I'm happy again.

But first and second duo won't stay calm, who knows how many times will they improve, and more important, could I follow them in getting gold.

And GTPlanet has dedicated forums and threads in which to do that.

We don't just ram everything into one thread just because it might be linked to something else that's in there. Things go in their own threads in the right subforums.

I gave you the link for it, and that's where the discussion is.

We want people to enjoy the site while big events are on so that they don't have to avoid the site for fear of having things spoiled for them in places they really shouldn't be posted in.

If you don't believe that ignoring that and posting off-topic spoilers is inconsiderate, I don't really know what to say.

It's also not a discussion. This is the Time Trial thread in the GT7 forum, not the LM24/WEC thread Motorsport forum.

It was a just a genuin question from my side trying to understand you, nothing more nothing less, english is not my first laguage.
But I get the spoiler thing ofcourse , just didn't understand it was about that
I'll remove the link 👍

Gah...I had totally forgotten how to drive Le Mans! Did a 16 laps session and only got into the 24s twice. I used to be able to do low 24s consistently 😡

Current PB is still 3:23.7 which is only 1/10 slower then the optimal of this session...I remember optimal used to be in the low 23s....

92 miles driven this morning in the 962, most of which were restarts for Dunlop Chicane over runs or track limits coming on to Mulsanne…😡😂

Perseverance is the key though, and managed to find a quarter of a second on my previous best to get down to a 3:23.9. Poor run (relatively) through the two chicanes on Mulsanne means there is still 0.6 to find to my optimal, but I may be done chasing at this point. Goal achieved and safely into gold medal / Cr.2m territory!

Enjoyed watching the real race this year. The first 8 hours were pretty eventful and exciting!!
