View attachment 1264719View attachment 1264720After a gold drought (last one was Gr3 Fiji) currently lined up to gold both these events! Praying Sarthe time doesn’t improve by Thursday morning or I’ll be so bummed out. BTW, I decided to try and gold the CE and holy crap is it hard! Have to hit 3:22 and after driving the group C cars for the TT it’s totally different strategy. That, and you think the track limits are strict on the TT, they are straight up mean in the CE! And you all are too fast!
You are all damned impressive, guys 👍

Improved my time a bit on Tsukuba while doing today's Daily Workout, from ,571 down to ,258, hope it will hold for Gold, but who knows. :scared: 🤞:)

Hi guys

Im back after a few days away; got stuck into Le Mans today. I still hate it. Im not a fan of the combo for a number of reasons. At the start I really struggled, I am not familiar with this class of car at all, nor do I enjoy driving them the way they are especially on hard tyres (and the cars you need to set the fastest laps are the least fun imo). Takes a lot of precision on the wheel, feels like there is only one way to drive them/one line.. just linear and dull for me.

BUT, in times gone by I would have just ignored it and not bothered after a few laps. Not anymore! I’ve taken it as an opportunity for self discipline/self improvement. I would say it took 150 restarts to even get a clean lap in, either spinning out or ridiculous track limits just about everywhere. However, I persevered and ended up setting a time without penalties… and it was slow. I don’t even know what it was but it was wayyyyy outside Gold. In fact I wondered whether I could even get near gold!

But we kept going, and a break away has done me good. I put in a few consistent laps in a 30 minute session today and got my gold time; 3:23.511. Not the quickest by a long shot but I’m super proud as I’ve slowly but surely improved my ability to drive these cars.. I still don’t enjoy it, not my thing but I have a healthy respect for them and an even healthier respect for anyone driving these right at the limit! I might grind for a 3:22.xxx tomorrow just for some extra clout but I’m happy with my current time 😊

The Audi TT trial is a lot of fun and a nice change, thanks again PD for trying something different and a great opportunity

for a lot of people to get gold! I will start grinding this one shortly and hoping maybe to shoot for top 100 again 😁

For the past 2 hours since I've got home, I can't log in GT7, it says the network is down (CE-2231F4). the internet is fine, the PSN is also logged in, only on GT7, I've restarted it and nothing... *sigh

Servers were down, AWS issue. Another post mentioned it's back online, but slow.

Hmm... Game went offline in the middle of the TT... Does anyone know if it saves lap times if I don't exit TT? I kinda got in a flow tonight and now what?

I was doing the same. Servers are supposedly back up, might be able to check now.

Ok so game saves lap times even if one don't exit TT, my lap time got saved even if game went offline in the middle of TT.

With the servers back I've done 4 laps at Le Mans TT, 3 with the GR010, with my best being at 3:35.9xx (record being 3:35.598) and one lap with a rented Sauber, with which I improved my best lap by 1s on the first ever lap I drive that car... ok, I know what I have to do now...

Lap count 43

Has Watkins Glen been featured in TT's yet?
There's Sahlen's six hours of Glen coming up in two weeks 🤔
Yes it’s been featured. TT9 was Watkins Glen Short in Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ’19.

Some we should be able to count out, having been featured twice, are Autopolis, Nürburgring GP (and Nordschleife/24h), Interlagos, Fuji and Red Bull Ring.

Well, the brief server outtage deleted my PB lap at Tsukuba (1:09.4xx a gold time, no less) ... So after everything was back online, I went after it again while everything I was doing was still fresh in my mind.

Managed to best my old time on the 3rd lap, 1:09.394. but I was having fun sliding around and my daily workout was also erased so I just kept driving.

12 laps in, I beat my record yet again. I hope this gold time holds. In spite of how much fun I have with this combo, I do find a quicker pace is difficult for me to put together.

Here's a video of my lap for anybody looking for inspiration or critique.

Finally! I knew a low 3:22 was possible. And it could have been even a tenth better, but I had a poor entry into the Porsche Curves. Super annoying because whenever I'm not on a fast lap, I tend to nail that sector. Oh, well. I also left some space on the exits of Indianapolis and Arnage. Tarmac I could have used to pick up that teeny bit more. Still over the moon with this time. :dopey:

Currently top 200. Will it hold? :scared:

Splits weren't too bad.

And I'm behind ONLY one Finn!!! Though of course a Swede had to sneak in there. What exactly is in the water up there in Scandinavia?? :P

Into 26s.
Noticed a replay of a top 100 guy in 787 and they used ASM and countersteering.
Tried that, the turn in and the exit's better, but I'm slow on corner entry, seems like braking is somewhat compromised (or braking while turning).
Porsche without wall contact so, yay! (it turns more willingly)
SartheTT-almost5.jpg

I'll have to decide as if to stay with that assists.
I know I can do better without them, but some parts of the lap are harder to nail in.

Tomorrow's one last push, but don't hold your breath for gold. I think low 26s are perfectly doable if I don't mess up something (like I always do).

I know why the servers were down yesterday, apparently they collected all penalties of everybody on Le Mans and gave them to me in my morning stint .... I wasn't even funny anymore, i trow in the towel 🤣, 24.0 got gold, still don't like the lap I did but some corners just don't like me, sometimes you gotta be beaten right 🤣🤣

Crazy times from all of you guys, some even say, " I don't like it, don't like the cars, don't like the track, I am bad at it.... and still set 23.5..... clear alien behavior..... I am looking at you @Dan_Tes 🤣🤣

See you on the next one 😁🤣

I give up on the Le mans one, trying to control manage the Sauber on this track is a job especially when you're trying to be as fast as you can while also using caution on every turn and corner, the last chicane messes me up too. I'll take my bronze medal and accept it.
The Mazda is faster, but harder in corners with controller, but if I was you, I world try that, I have Silver and I'm not that good, but I have and do grind that track numerous times, which does help. 😀
