Now, I might not be the greatest in geography, but I'm pretty sure Finland isn't in Asia :dopey:

Thankfully my Gold time held at ALM. I had been out of practice when I tried to revisit it the last day to see if I could improve my buffer.

I somehow managed to get my exact same time, literally to the thousandth of a second, but no improvement. I probably could've put a better lap in had I kept going, but I felt like 40 laps was plenty.

Looking forward to the new TT at BMB. I think I'm over Spa for now.

Yesterday I had a quick session at SPA. Quick (10 mins) and with some issue.
I realized my throttle is jittering a bit. I have a G29, so I was guessing at some dirt in the pedal, but the confusing thing is that I only saw it in the bus stop - la souce area where in lower gears. Once I am in 4/5/6 the white bar sticks to 100%
I'm running TCS 0, so it's not TCS.
I'm running CSA but I didn't notice before this affecting to pedals too
I then moved to DailyC just to ensure it was not wet/JuniorRedBull related, and it was not :(

It's worth to mention that maybe I powered the G29 after switching on the PS4, while the USB cable was already plugged id.
I hope it's just it, I'm not that keen to open up the G29, even though dirt is way better than any HW issue

Here are some statistics for TT35 at Autodrome Lago Maggiore | West End in Gr.3 cars.

Highlights:
  • Participation was above 150k.
  • This was an easy TT by most metrics, with 16.4% of drivers getting gold and only 6.6% getting no reward.
Easy for all the aliens in here, not so much for the slowcoach DR Cs like me. I'm happy with my silver.

Impossible for me to improve my time at Spa and do better than 2'41.
So not to get too nervous on the controller and the steering wheel, 🤣🤣 I decided to go for a little ride on this new TT in Blue Moon Bay. I have the gold medal with a time of 1'14'529. But there is still work to secure it before all the aliens arrive in herds 👽👽👽🤣🤣🤣 !!!!!

I've never driven one, but I refuse to believe a real Dodge Viper has brakes this bad.
This is my feeling with literally every single road car (and EV) in this game...
I think it's the tyres, these sports feel like the budget of budget tyres!
I think it's the brakes themselves. If my memory is correct, racecars on sports tires still stop quicker than road cars on race tires. And EVs even on race tires might as well not have a brake pedal - not because they have regenerative brakes, but because they have NO brakes!

I have now updated my weekly results post with the All Gold stats and with interim statistics for Spa - link to that post below (although don't ask me why the words from a different post are displayed within the shortcut - it does lead to the correct post).

A quick summary of my TT experience at Lago Maggiore, for the second week running I've left it until the countdown clock appears before setting my best lap.

40 or so laps in the Ferrari before looking at any ghosts/replays to get a feel for the circuit, then jumped into the Supra to see if it was objectively quicker. Another 25 laps and I'm stuck at 52.080, just hundredths away from temporary gold but in danger of getting usurped during the night so I stick on the No.1 Replay just for a few pointers to find an extra tenth or two.

Lo and behold, the apex for turn 1 is about a car-length further inside than I realised!! This changes everything! Within about 20 more laps (once I managed to hook up the rest of the lap to the best of my ability) I've managed to snag the extra time to bring home a nice 51.8

Seeing as my session optimum was 51.7 I was more than happy to get my head down to sleep last night.

One added takeaway from this is I've really learnt a lot about gradual and slight braking in the Group 3s, especially useful at this circuit. I'm gonna take those lessons into the Maggiore Human Comedy mission!

I could definitely be in the wrong, but I get the impression that in this TT at SPA there is a kind of stepped learning. As long as you don't find the key of how aggressive to be and in what way to be you are sailing around certain times (bronze or so), unlocked this aspect you are almost automatically from full silver down.

So far I have not found the key.

Damned, that Viper is such a naughty girl :P fun and not easy to tame

After some laps on BMB Speedway, I've already scored a decent silver at 1:14.914 :sly: with a lot of room of improvement.
As the WR should be under 1:12.xxx in no time, I expect that gold would be under 1:14.xxx at the end.

Well I got both my US and GB accounts into bronze on the new TT with 1:17.x times (after a few laps each) but man, is that Viper a pig to drive. I actually like it, as it forces me to learn something I would normally avoid! A bit like Spa; I love and hate that one. I'm still not gold on it (but close) and I hate it as it is so hard, but I love it as it is a challenge and will improve me as a driver (even if I don't end up with gold).
