Now into the 43’s with a time of 7:43.903 , a bit conservative after the Stefan Bellof S (I was almost a full second faster at that point than my previous PB) and then a poor exit speed before the long straight. Managed to recover some tenths under braking and through the last couple corners but yeah anyway I think it was an OK lap.

So,i've been out of the loop here the last couple weeks, blame the NFL,lol...anyways,got a gold two thursdays ago,2 gold last week and then DT,...i've lost count on how many Kms i've put in, i was less than .100 out,and finally today i do a 1:39.149 and i can't remember the gold time,lol...it's .122...nooooooooo,....re-group,get back in and did a .108...hope it can hold :nervous:

With only two days left at Dragon Trail, I felt I would try and improve. I'm sure I lost a good tenth in the final turn. Shame, because I absolutely blitzed sector 1 for once. Still, an improvement of almost three quarters of a tenth (.073). Enough to jump a couple of seriously quick Brits here. ;) I'll likely give it one more go tomorrow before the TT ends.

Speaking of story...

To get the Black Formula Gran Turismo, we had to do 100% in GT4. So I left Mission 34 for last because I already knew () the track... [I was planning a pleasant finale to compensate for the extreme difficulty this game was for me].

So, with great difficulty, I got the penultimate Gold in Grand Canyon and went to the Nürburgring to get the "Black F1"...

40 seconds!

I finished the first lap 40 seconds behind the target time... I was demoralized...

That same day I managed to cut 20 seconds, but that was my limit...

The conclusion of the story is that I had to learn what Nürburgring is all about - and it became my obsession to this day...

(It took me seven days to get the "Black F1"...)

Anyone know why they changed the Tsukuba time trial again?
I legit grinded so hard yesterday just to get 1:02.142 & now the minimum time is 1:02.060??? What the heck.
"They" didn't.

Time Trials are a moving target. The Gold/Silver/Bronze times are a set percentage slower than the world record (3, 5 and 10%, like it says in the image above your post). New world record means new targets.

I didn't even make it onto your board:grumpy:

Yeah..... so close..... yet soooo far away
I didn't nail one lap this morning, altho i had quicker sections so we still have progression!.
i think i still have to ease up and drive less slidy...., this lap i was way to slow out of the very last corner because i had to lift to much on exit, would have been it......, made a couiple of fairly big mistakes during the lap..

I will earn it!

Man i like this, it's difficult, frustrating and fun at the same time, sounds like marriage

You are practically licking it 🤪

Finally got my rig back up and running today. It feels good to be back in the seat, but I've been out of practice for a little over one month now. It seems I have a lot of catching up to do between the regular TT and the Honda event.

I figured today I'd just work on the Dragon Trail - Seaside one for now since it's the final day. I need to watch a few fast replays to get my bearings here.

Without any inspiration from other's laps or ghosts, I'm not too far off Gold. But my endurance is lacking and I will try to come back later.

I managed to only 'die' at the CoD once, most of my invalidated laps were from bumping into the wall on the exit.

Probably because you are not close enough to the barrier at the right. If you are close enough, the wheels will miss the curbs and won't bounce your car to the left.

Hurrah a clean lap, 8:13.
Well done! I'm in a similar boat. Was at 8:21 and as of last night I'm at 8:06 after spending a session doing about 3 laps. I have to learn the car's tendencies.

Married myself. Can confirm the bold. Sometimes the fun.

. . . sometimes . . .

(looks for memory emoji)

My DTS time had been pushed down into silver, so I had another go, this time trying the AMG '20, which I hadn't tried before. I did several laps that were just 0.01-0.02 outside the gold time, and had a lap where I was over 3 tenths up on my best, so I knew I could do it. Took a break to get some food, then came back to it and improved my best time by 3 tenths on my 2nd lap. 1:38.8, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that should be safe.

One key thing I worked out in my last few laps was to look at the kerb to judge the line into the 3rd apex in the CoD. You can't see the bit of wall you need to just miss, but I found if I aimed for the kerb I could take it so much more consistently.

@GlockPants I got the same advice from Dr @Evilmuffin and it was the key to me to unlock lap time. Outside of CoD my lap was pretty good, but I just couldn’t get through without smacking that same wall you are. Here’s an artsy shot from my fast lap with Muffin Magic applied…

  • I have added a Car column to the TTs where more than one is available to us.
  • The Car Performance data for the Dragon Trail TT makes for interesting reading.
  • The movie one is finally over, with more than 300,000 drivers having had a go.
Enjoy!

Here are some statistics for TT44 at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP Layout in Gr.3.

This was a request to help people see how many places they're likely to gain by gaining a certain amount of time.

Any chance I could be added to the GTP leaderboard? :)

You're in gold, you have no right to complain! :D

True indeed, but I can't sleep for the rest of my life when I get stuck on 45.0 ...... that ain't gonna cut it 🤣🤣
But it's a fight, getting faster, but also make more mistakes...... did 4 laps just now, all 45.5, one corner.......gets me now EVERY lap 😡 me and "Bergwerk" ain't no friends anymore, I loose ALL my time there, if I take it 10 times, it's 10 times different, I just have NO idea how to approach this one, I brake at the blue tarmac line but have no idea when to turn in .......

Tips? 🤣

@Evilmuffin @Carlos Fandango

Thank you for the tips. I also figured out I was not turning in early enough on the left entry to the final CoD sequence.

I did manage some progress, but my body started to ache after 20 laps and pushed through for another 8 before I reached my limit of mental focus and physical endurance for the day. I think I could get Gold if I had another couple days to close the gap to my optimal time.
