So I gave the Lambo another bash at St Croix. Only managed to record about 4 timed laps (the rest were aborted or invalidated) and managed to knock just over 5 tenths off my time, now sitting a fraction of a second off silver time! I've done so poorly at this one, but I'm determined to keep my bronze count at 1 and not miss out on that cool million creditos!

Also gave it a new livery, which I think is where the time savings came from, if I'm honest! :D

Nothing wrong with bronze medals. I've got a whole heap of them.
No, you're right... but I'm less than 0.100 from a silver medal, so I'm adamant I can find that somewhere on the scrappy lap I set my best time in so far. Just need to find that rhythm and slash a couple tenths off! (And hope the guys up top don't go and better the top times!!)

Either way, it's yet another Gr.4/3 TT, and no one cares. And no one cares about the Sainte de Croix TT either. Hopefully the combos get better soon. 🙄
I don't care about Croix indeed, but the other ones i can't agree with you, all are a blast imo, Alsace is pure fun for me and very addictive, and Road Atlanta is a nice challenge on those tires, difficult and frustrating but fun.
The Ring speaks for itself, you just can't hate that..

I like all the TT's right now, except for Croix, all not that bad lately for me personally

Yeah, I didn't mention Road Atlanta as I haven't tried it yet. The ring speaks for itself, so I didn't mention it

But you can't tell me the previous Gr. 3 TT's were good combos... 🤮 same for Gr. 1 at Road Atlanta, it was a little meh.

Fair enough

I had more trouble with Catalunya again than DT, and i kind of like the flow of DT, but i must admit frustration was a little higher due to the Chicane

I like how we get TT that might be themed on actual recent races. Be it F1, WEC or something else. While the Gr.1 at RA seems like it wasn't a hugely loved TT here, it was going on with Petit Le Mans and I think that's cool.

Mainly because you can compare your lap times vs real drivers in similar cars.

Guys, PREVIOUS time you told @Dan_Tes that I beat his time so he said goodbye to friends, family and Jesus over the Sunday and took Lambo for a ride and beat my time. Please this time do NOT tell @Dan_Tes that I beat his time again because he will beat my time again and now it's getting more and more demanding and requires proper effort to lower it even more.
I logged in last night to do some more Lambo-ing and saw you’d set another incredible time! I’m incredibly sorry but you’re just gonna have to go even faster now :D I actually very much enjoy this trial, once you get used to it it’s quite a fun car to drive and because nobody else likes it, it’s great for stat padding

Show me what you got! Like @Gomario JSP says, you are definitely the fastest motion steering person on the planet!

I spent a long time last night trying to improve at the Nordschleife; god it’s frustrating trying to get more time out of this car! I’ve taken tips from the fastest time replays but it’s meant driving the car completely differently in some corners so was a very frustrating time last night; I don’t like the way it handles in 4th gear in mid speed corners but it definitely is quicker! Ended up with what felt like a very very quick time only for it to be just less than 0.2 seconds quicker than my previous PB  think I’m running out of motivation on this one…

I'm not The Muffin Man, but I think it'll ultimately depend on how well you know the course. It's certainly a challenge, it didn't earn it's Green Hell name for nothing. But learning the track is very rewarding, IMO.

I don't think using AT will be too detrimental to completing a Bronze lap. There's not too much gear box trickery going on, but 3rd and 4th gear seem to be popular with the fast times.

Start slow, get used to the car's handling, set a valid lap and from there you should be able to look at where you can make up more time.

Good luck!
Thanks for the advice, I may start out using the 4th-5th gears on the complex turns/corners and bends and use 2nd/3rd gears on the straightways.

What does my TC and Brake Balance meter need to be set to?

My TC is 0, the car seems to develop a lot of wheel spin which could affect your acceleration if you have the TC set too high. You might try 0 to start, but if you're having difficulty controlling the car bump up to 1.

As a note about gear selection, you'll for sure want to use high gears on the fast straights. You can probably do the entire lap without going below 3rd gear. Watch a couple of replays if you want an idea what an effective gear will be in a particular section.

@Evilmuffin has a couple of replays shared on their profile you can load, I use one that's close to the certificate time. And I also have shared my Gold time that is currently clear by about 0.7 seconds.

My effort with the Lamborghini V12 VGT at Sainte-Croix. Took a little while but I felt I had a 57 in me and wouldn't settle until I got it.

A peculiar TT in the sense that for me personally this one I regard as quite "easy" to place high because it's a pretty tricky drive. There's no way you'd place as high for a ~1,50% time on your regular TT as that percentage would get you here.

If I compare it with a Gr.4 TT such as the upcoming Alsace Test Course one. That one is incredibly easy in comparison and as a consequence it becomes ridiculously tight and IMO hard. And annoying.

Get what I mean?

Thanks for sharing your replay (especially from so many angles!) I'm going to study it and see if I can find a few tenths to dig in to the silver zone!

Aliens! Leave RA alone!

I can't spend all day just to get back into Gold again while the Nordschleife calls.

First improvement got me just barely into Gold again, I knew I needed a bigger cushion.

After over 100 miles and an unknown number of restarts ...

I think this will be good enough ... I don't know if I have the patience to go for a 1:15.x but the optimals are there.

Edit:

Here's the replay. Mostly pretty clean, I think. Just ignore the last turn!

I'm very close to not making it, but it counts!

Report from the lower decks:
Now that the sience fiction lamborghini is gone, I am in solid bronze on all tracks again...

...though I did Alsace only with the VW(Golf GTI, or is ist a Polo...?)so far, and I am damn close to silver...let's see what the new Mazda will do for me, since it seems to be the meta-meta car on this TT
And bronze with the Porsche at Road Atlanta was almost too easy, will try some more there...

I was going to run RA last night, but either my PS4 or the PS Network had other ideas. I loaded up GT, went to the time trials area, then watched my cursor spin in circles nonstop because somehow I got disconnected as soon as I clicked on one of the TT's. This forced me to restart the game completely and turn off/on the console. Success when everything was back up and running! Then 6 laps into my session I suddenly get booted from the TT and the game gets stuck in a loading screen, once again disconnected from the PS Network. Closed down GT and turned off the PS4. I didn't feel like trying after that. :grumpy:

So I gave it another go tonight. No connection issues and a pickup of a touch under 2 tenths. I am back into the top 1,000, but for how long? I'll be reluctantly jumping back into that Lamborghini...thing...tomorrow since it's the last day to gain. :yuck: Wish me luck.
