Yay...my PS4 has decided it will not connect to PSN. It had been acting up somewhat lately where I would have to restart the console a time or two every once in a while. I'm getting nothing today. Multiple restarts, unplugging the power, etc. Still nada. My computer and phone are connected fine to the internet. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare ethernet cable laying around to try to directly connect it, so I don't know if it's an issue with the WiFi with my PS4 or what. :indiff:

Any thoughts beyond that?
Aside from hard wire with a cable...not much. It is possible the wifi card (or the equivalent for ps4) is going out.

Time for a PS5? Christmas is coming 😄

After 1 lap, I didn't like the car but then I figured out how it handled and I learned to love it :)

My brother came over to help with something unrelated, and I asked him beforehand if he had an extra ethernet cable, which he did. I tested it out and it works! So, I'm borrowing it until I can get another one myself. Problem (sort of) solved. I can still use my PS4, but I now know there is a legit WiFi problem with it. As long as I have a cable, it won't be an issue. I'll give it another go at Willow tonight after dinner.

Enjoying the Watkins Glen TT in the Alpine. The A110 is super nice to drive. I'm messing up too many laps at the bus stop, just like at Daytona last week, but fortunately here it's not at the end of the lap so it's not as frustrating.

Managed to get a top 10 time. I can probably still squeeze a tenth or two if I can string together a perfect lap (S1 time was over a tenth slower than my best).

I wasn't planning to do any TT tonight as I was mentally pretty drained from work all week. But somehow I found myself sitting in my rig, and instead of just doing some weekly single player race, I did some laps at the Glen.

I only did 10 laps before finding myself too tire to continue, and managed this at the last lap. Not too sure I can do any better....aside from the last sector which was about 1/2 a tenth off of my best, I pretty much nailed the 1st sector and a very very good bus stop.

Got this from yesterday's Daily workout...cheeky

wrong thread ;)

Glad I was able to log on tonight. But I cursed loudly at the TV screen after running a 1:12.002. There was more out there, as the final turn was only so-so. Two laps later I have a good sectors 1 and 3, but the middle portion was terrible. 1:12.008 on that lap. :banghead: After a couple of restarts, I finally nail all the sectors and nab that 1:11.

🤣🤣🤣

First real morning stint in the alpine, I had a look yesterday clocking 20.9xx on my second lap on my laptop 🧐😳😳😳 but I noticed this morning that that was a kind of ok-ish lap 🤣
Took me almost an hour to get in the Alpine flow but man! What a joy to drift this french little blue bastard!

No idea how to take the right hander after the busstop which I find almost as difficult to nail as the Daytona one.

But i like this one!, very tiny margins if you look at the leaderboards!

Are you close to gold, u got silver at Daytona?

There is visible improvement in your driving, just keep going! ;)
That's very kind of you to say that, but - I'm nowhere near gold at Willows, although bronze looks safe, and I think the general consensus is Daytona was one of the easier TTs which might explain my silver 🤣
However I think I am very slowly improving by running more laps than I usually do (practice makes perfect!) and changing the settings on my wheel seems to have helped a bit too.

I saw that that top times have come down overnight, so I was nervous about my time dropping into silver.

Even though it was my quickest ever gold (by some distance!), I knew there was still room for improvement and so I did another 7-8 laps this morning and got myself down to 1:21.975, so hopefully that will be enough for a gold. There is still room for improvement, especially in the last sector, so I might try again later in the week.

Again...400km absolutely wasted on the Corvette, as I wanted to get a really good lap.

Struggled a lot with the understeer, and failed T1 about a million times.

I should really lower my standards, considering I still have a lot of cars to go through.

10 more laps at Big Willow after watching @Mistah_MCA's lap guide, but it messed me more than improved my times.

No improvement, still in silver at the moment.

10 laps at BW with the BRZ, optimum barely below record :

Tried the TT with the Alpine, messed up my 1.2 first lap and started again as I was already in a red lap. 1 cleaner lap later comfortably in bronze. That car slides a lot, need to learn my breaking points.

Finally took the time to watch my replays and export them, first the Big Willow.... this was my fastest lap, didn't try again since I'm back from my mini vacation, maby ill try one more session this week, cause a .7xx is very doable but yeah....something with stars and alignment ....

Then our blue bastard.... ( altho, I kept it blue with a little french toutch 🤣
while watching the replay back I can only say ...... what a messy crappy lap this was??, it felt fast while driving but it just looks like there is a whole second to find 🤣🤣

I'm still figuring out a few things..... T1 back to 3th?.... it can be both but I kind of prefer 3th to rotate.....
Then the busstop...... I did go back to 4th.... altho I had a better sector when staying in 5th..... dilemma......

Right hander after that .......yeah....next question....🤣🤣

Last but not least.....to slide or not to slide?

(I have no idea what's up with the youtube upload, but it's still crappy quality, even made a new one, it said 1080 now, but still looks like 480 🤔🤣 )

I kind of messed up the busstop here, so .6 or .7 should be achievable.....but yet....stars...blah blah.....🤣

Fun challenge though!

Willow is fun right up until the final turn. I find all sorts of ways to reduce time before it and that sets the stage to blow the final turn once again and watch the ghost pass on the way to the line 🤬

Stuck at 1:13.0xx and have racked up multiple laps in this range but can’t get it done ☹️
Had an optimal of 1:12.590 in one session but gotta go back and relearn the final turn I guess.

Afraid my gold is in jeopardy without hitting 1:12

FT-1 done, and started driving the Z4. I got a 1:13.0 so far, but I know I can take it at least one tenth lower. After that, not too many slow cars remaining!

Hopefully this will be my last day at Willow Springs.

Day 2 with the Corvette and I'm about 0.2 seconds into Gold. However, I started with the Circuit Experience which is also using the Corvette. This was a nice strategy, allowing to repeat each sector to experiment ways to squeeze out whatever time you can. Then was a short stint of 10 laps to set my time.

Tomorrow I'll start working the Alpine around Watkins Glen. Looking forward to this one!
