Tiny improvement at the Forest, helps to make my shaky silver a tiny bit more secure.

I'm pretty much doing everything I've seen in the "how-to" videos (apart from gear changes - I use auto) except for that last sharp left-hander before the home run.
I was braking at around 200m for that, but the videos I've seen, they brake at 150m..... and they get around the bend. Whenever I try that I go off track limits and invalidate the lap (and the next one too - no idea why, it seems to do that on any TT where the infringement happens towards the end of the lap).

Oh well, a couple more days to practice! Fingers crossed. 🤞

I have the same issues. AFAIK you have to trail brake to succeed braking later and keep the car on the right path

That's a little better! I've got more in me I believe. Didn't pay much attention to sector times but my delta shows half a second or so here and there.

Let's say it's my Christmas present...

Very honestly, I can't explain where this gold score came from.

I had a first "medium" lap (1:47.5xx) and the next lap started on the same way. At the esses after T1, my time was in blue but didn't wanted to see how much exactly. At the bridge, I was still in blue but closer to the ghost than usual. I had a correct turn before the long tunnel (over 80km/h, as I remember) and slammed the brakes at the ambulance. The final hairpin was "as usual" (maybe better, don't know), close to the ghost.
Et voilà!

I think I was (much) better/faster from the esses to the turn after the bridge (the 2nd sector of the CE). Stupidly, I didn't saved the replay :banghead:
I wanted to be close or below 10.000th but I don't have the motivation and my GT 350 deserves to rest.

Thanks everyone for your advices, your encouragement and your patience to support my moaning messages :embarrassed: You are the BEST (even if you're German ^^).

Jeddah seems to be on Alpha Centaury for holidays, so this weak gold score should hold until Thursday.

Thank you very much and merry Christmas my friend, enjoy this special moment with the ones you love the most.
(and congrats for your insanes times, of course).

If I got it correctly you switched from X and square to L2 R2? Right? If you are on DualSense I would definitely go on Shelby Deep Forest TT because haptic feedback on tires there is just 10/10 if that one won't help you to learn how much to press gas then I don't know which one will.
DualShock here. I wonder how big a difference feeling there is between the two. Not that it matters. I don't plan on getting a PS5 anytime soon.

Is it possible to improve on an AT using an MT replay from the pros?
I watched your videos and I advise you not to use all the aids. This doesn't help you. Learn to drive without help (all at zero) except the TC at 1 if you want and ABS. And then when you finish a lap don't stop, do several laps in a row, this will help you learn your circuits and better understand the reactions of your car.
I use DS5 in manuel transmission with TC at 0 (for Deep Forest and all orher) or 1 (for Fuji for example),

Starting to reach the limit at Fuji but it’s a bit of a weird one! Like most, I’m not a fan of the track, but at least this short version doesn’t have that pointless chicane.

I managed a 28.7 on my 6th lap, but took another 90 minutes or so to improve (partly as I was cycling through some of the cars). Now down to a 28.3 in the Honda meta… not sure I can be motivated to grind the last tenth or two, so this might be it from me.

Try not to stomp on the brakes, but instead gradually increase brake pressure to minimize the weight shifting to the front wheels. If you can keep the car settled while applying less brake pressure you will have more stopping power. You can practice with ABS off to get a better feel for brake pressure - if you apply too much too quickly, the wheels lock up.

Also, I brake a little earlier (15-20ish m) than 150 because I'm not that great at trail braking.

I went back to Deep Forest today. With the main learning curve happening yesterday, my brain got used to the triggers again fairly quickly. I managed to get a couple of 1:45.0's, so the gains using them could come sooner than expected. A bad hairpin cost me what would have been a 1:44 and likely my new personal best. I don't know how much time I'll have to play tomorrow, as the family is getting together for Christmas. I hope to at least get some laps in.

I would also like to extend a Happy Festivus to everyone today! :D

Had a quick 2nd session at Fuji. Not my favorite track I must say. And it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks that. The last sector is very difficult to get right, but after some trial and error, I managed a decent 1:26.830 in the NSX. I doubt I'll come back to this.

Happy holidays everyone! 🎄

Silly question but ....but ill ask .
Is possible to watch and download other players lap as s ghost and if it is how ill do it ?

In a few hours ill be gone for 2-3 days for Christmas, so play will have limits in my case and i wish the same to all of you to enjoy with people you love and are close to you , friends, family etc.etc.
Play can wait, life can't and as it is for the majority of people, building " warm" and joyful moments is precious.

And for those who are " lonely riders " far from home , family, friends etc. i wish to find a reason to be happy with even if they have to " convert" things to do so.
For example, you are in good health but many people around you aren't these days , so............

By the way i bust slightly the 1.30 with lexus 430 and ill continue next week.
Have a good day guys .

I think I must be better with street cars because there's a lot more room for error. I just golded the Mustang time trial within about 5 laps at +2.6%, and I'm surprised because that trial has been online for a week or more now. That car is pretty quirky. You actually have to drive it like a FWD car since the goal is to put down as much power as possible and the tiniest bit of steering input will make it spin the inside rear.

I golded the Fuji Gr2 as well and I'm hoping it sticks but there's a lot of time left. +2.8% I think. I used the Audi DTM figuring the DRS would help a bit...it does help but not a lot, plus it just gives you more button presses to concentrate on. But my fastest lap out of about 20 was a DRS lap so there's that.

Not bad for gamepad!

Yes, I took the Shelby for my fifth trial tonight and got my time to 1'47.529, I really want to keep pushing for the gold, my rank is at 25,000. Wow, 3.53% of the global ranking, I'm really impressed and proud so far.

So, the good thing is i'll be walking away with 1 million if I don't succeed.

Today morning I was still driving Nissan and made minor improvement, to 49.4xx.
At evening session switched to NSX and immediately posted better time, going to low 49s.

And then happened one quick lap, after numerous tries: 1:28.582!

Here is video of it:

BTW, I made one nice anniversary, 50 000km passed!
I know many of you have much more, but this is something too...
And game doesn't count time driven from TTs - and there I have it way the most, 200-300h for sure.

You need to get to work on your music rally and licenses, son lol.....get going!!

I will :)
Too much work with TTs lapping...
And now Series X came too, so will also get some time of playing.

Yesterday I didn't managed to improve, my best lap is on my edge of capabilities - at least I think so.

Will se, now after coffee going to play HZD Forbidden West, then GT7 TT time...

Congrats, that's a massive acheivement!

Deep Forest isn't complex to drive but if you want to be fast (or very fast), it is VERY complex.
The 2nd sector of the CE was very complicated to me. And if I'm still not gold on the full lap, it's mainly because of this sector.

Enjoy every second of your 1:47.529. and if you only get 1 million, it's already a massive victory.
Getting gold on this TT is acheivable if your take your time to drive as clean as possible.

Bravo Chris 👏👏👏👏.
You must continue yours efforts !!!! And you must learn , learn and learn again. You must practice, practice and practice again. 🥵🥵🥵. It's the secret to do a clean lap...

Thank you @Jeje6410

Santa brought me an early present 😉

I had to give it another shot, there is definitely more in there but I want to give Fuji a go now.

I think this is the highest I've ever ranked, really wanted to get into the top 500 but just lost concentration on it now.
