Please, DON'T :D

After tens laps on Trial Mountain this afternoon (and a good practice with the CE), I'm still over 0.5 sec away from gold at 1:54.304 🥈
To be honest, I had an unvalidated 1:54.038 (dunno how or where), so I'm confident to find soon another gold mine in these rocky mountains...

ATTACK!!!

I was very early this morning and had a completely wrong approach with the Supra, I was fighting 3th The whole lap... turns out....
4th is your friend 🤣🤣
I have to readjust because it stil dances uphill in 4th but it's so well controlable (once you go you do loose a lot of time, but its fun tho )

I like this one!, maby tomorrow a longer session in the morning, I see myself lapping this one quite a lot 🙈😁

Not a bad first impression

I had a long evening session and equal 3%, but is still silver, with 4 thousands to gold.

1:53.884

After this lap, I did another 120km, but no improvement.

Here is the lap:

This near wall passes in fourth are really tricky...

It will be a fight for gold!

You did got VERY close to the wall indeed 👌😁, if you didn't mis the apex in the first tunnel you would have it!
I'm sure you will get gold if you are on the edge of it already now, nice work!

Gave the Supra a go this afternoon. With a bit of fine tuning my lines and more confidence exiting corners, I think I can get below 1:53.000. Watched @Tidgney 's video and thought "yeah, that looks a piece of cake!" but nope, still not an alien breed, myself. Thanks for the video!

Personally, I think this is one of the best TTs for race cars so far. A classic car on a classic fantasy track. Love it!

Bravo, it's very impressive!!
You simply need to fix your apex in the 1st tunnel to get the yellow reward.

Hi,

@P-Courty....

Ohhhhh my words - That is getting on for 25 years ago! I remember this well. A slight quickening of the pulse as you reached the finishing line in Rome, having got that last corner just right. Getting the rail tracks section perfectly on and off throttle at Seattle.
Happy memories indeed!

Best regards to all here.

Ian... Who is still waiting for an Aluminium rig that he was going to build himself and then thought better of it and it has still not arrived here. Ian... Still waiting for all his Fanatec gear. Ian... Staring at an FIA rated race seat with nowhere for it to sit on. Ian... Looking at a PS5 and staying, doggedly, determined not to plug it in until all the other gear has arrived. Ian... Gazing, wistfully, at some laser cut, polished and powder coated, seat risers and rails...

The frustration here is beyond a joke now!

First day at Spa and I'm quite shocked.
This was always my bogey track - I know it, I like it, but I'm always slow there.
And yet:
SpaTT-Alfa-almost.jpg

The Alfa is very good to me and my butchery input configuration (buttons + X/O), so that's probably the reason.
It took about 15 laps, most of which invalidated.
I will try to work on it some more as it wasn't a perfect lap by any means, but should it remain like this to the end I can rest satisfied.

@smoothbore12 If you still need that gold lap with AT, I've shared it in showcase with tags:

Monday: Forgot about the weekly challenges so gave them a go. Did the first four races and 45 minutes of the hour enduro before stopping (I was about to finish last thanks to the F1 Ferrari strategists in my pit (and sliding off track many, many times thanks to the wet track)). Later realize PD never gave me my prizes for passing the challenges I did finish. :grumpy: To top things off, presented with a 3 star ticket for all my work. PD really didn't like me this day!
Tuesday: Not much time left in the Fuji TT. Hop in my NSX and for the life of me can't put together a full, clean, fast lap. Optimals 3 tenths better than my current best. A handful of laps that were 2 tenths better than my best, but...invalidated naturally. The icing on the cake for my over 100 miles of driving? Another 3 star ticket. C'mon, man! :banghead:
Yesterday: I didn't feel like stressing over trying to get back into the 1,000 at Fuji or taking the time to figure out the right strategy to pass the final challenge on the final day. So I made the decision to leave my PS4 turned off. I could use some time off from the game. Yeah, that meant no improvement in the TT and no final reward (assuming PD would have bothered to give it to me anyway). But I was able to just relax.

Today: Let's try out the Supra! I was way off the pace until I learned how to handle the thing. Once I did, what a fun combo! I made several mistakes on my lap that included running wide followed by nearly losing it out of the first tunnel, getting some oversteery goodness entering the second tunnel, and having to lift slightly heading into the third tunnel which hurt my speed down the long straight. I'll tell you what, though. This one would be TOUGH if I was still using the X button for gas. Being able to control the throttle with the triggers keeps me from being sideways exiting EVERY turn. :P

I'm still trying to figure out how to drive this darn thing. I spent most of my evening spinning around when the boost hit. Or invalidating the lap because I licked the wall.

Finally threw together a semi decent lap. Optimal was probably a high 1:51.6s

I feel like I'm doing a disservice to Mr Aznable using this livery 🙃

This one gave me instead memories of GT3 as well.
If I remember correctly Time Trial in Arcade Mode was the Castrol Supra on Apricot Hill, another one was the Red Oreca Viper at Laguna Seca and the Castro NSX at Grand Valley. Would be great to see those combos in one of the following weeks. :)

Think I will start driving that one after the weekend, might spent some more time at 4C/Spa first.

That intro brings me tears everytime i see it. So much good memories, and Feeder makes it so much better
The good old days when Gran Tursimo had great music.

Loved Rome and Seattle, getting some air and sliding around on the cobbles.

Still waiting on a return of Complex String. Setting up a car for any eventuality and drifting the whole circuit in my good old bright yellow 300zx on a Logitec Formula Force wheel, oh the memories 😁 and the start of my Logitec wheel collection 😂

Think I'm too hard on the brakes.. it almost feels like it comes to a dead stop at times.
Accepted the fr ;)
That's exactly what I've experienced too.

Yesterday, I've tried to improve my PB on the 2nd sector of Trial Mountain CE (with the Mazda).
Simply by braking earlier and smoother, I went from 19.065 to 18.870 and I was also faster at the entrance of the long tunnel.
You'll see the replay (0:19.966) in my newsfeed.

That reminds me, I have yet to do the circuit experience for this track.
Now will be a good time to get to it.
Will have a look at your replay.
