Delighted as I am with this time, I'm annoyed those good sectors two and three came after such a rubbish sector one. I've been as low as 30.113 in S1 and regularly below 30.2. Still, chuffed and will take it while it lasts. I'm sure @djolliea will be ahead of me soon enough.

The fact alone to be mentioned in here made my day already 😁🤣
Interesting thought here, and it's clear now that this thing can be driven in a lot of ways.
And when I look at @Dolph Drago his lap he had a complete different style than what i was doing, I had time for about a whole 6 laps this morning 🤣, and went for the "no yeeting" relaxed and exit all in 5th gear approach and immediately ran low a 38.4 something.. I haven't upshifted yet underbraking but I'll try that the first time a have time for a good stint 😁
Lots of different ways to drive it, indeed. I tried sausing the gearbox method, but it wasn't working for me. So I took the @Tidgney approach and stayed in higher gears when braking. If anything, the car felt more stable doing so. I couldn't do the first chicane in 4th like him, as you see me drop into 3rd until I start to exit the left hander. I pick up a boatload of understeer if I stay in 4th for the whole thing.

And yeah, 5th gear exiting many of the corners aside from 4th very briefly coming out of the chicanes and 6th in Parabolica.

A new test today at Monza, but it was impossible for me to improve my time of 1'38'789 !!!!
Despite 404 kms covered and times approaching my record, I was running under 1'39 with 1'38'8xx.
But I'm very happy because it's my 2nd TT out of 3 in 2024 in the first 1,000 (939th in the TT61 on Nurburgring GP, and 781th on Monza).
The year is starting well and I still hope to beat my record of 644th in the world. It took me a while to adapt to the DS5, but frankly it's great. So great that since Christmas, I haven't touched my G29 !!!! The poor !!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Another day at LM. I did manage some good improvement in my PB, so missing one day didn't take me out of the groove there.

I've dipped into the 1:27.8's but I think a .7 is achievable. I'll keep working at it before I travel over to Italy.

I ran a LOT of laps Thursday night, but was only able to improve my time a few hundredths

I'm sitting at 1:28.330 now, and most of my laps are consistently between 1:28.3 and 1:28.6.

Can't figure out what I need to change to get down to the 1:27s. and/or into the top 1000 (sitting at #1208 right now).

The ghost just keeps slowly getting away from me :). I suspect I'm losing a lot of time in the last two turns, but I've tried different strategies and it doesn't seem to matter.

I might give it another shot today but I'm not super optimistic :)

(BTW, I was going to try and save a "Best Lap Replay" from my last session but the option wasn't available. Did I miss it somewhere? Is it in a different place in Sport Mode vs. a typical TT?)

After your fast lap, did you restart and then exit without completing a lap? I've noticed something like this. I had a session where I forgot to initially save my ghost after my fast lap and reentered the track before realizing it. So I immediately exited but found the replay unavailable. I wasn't sure what to do. Since I hadn't completely left the TT, I hopped on the track, ran one lap, then exited and the best lap replay once again became available.

RAWR! Got that slow orange paint off the Genesis with the help of this guy. Look out! Obviously I'll be in the top 10 the next time I work that TT. :mischievous:  😉 Which might be after I do the Lemans CE in prep for league racing tomorrow night.

Might even satisfy my wonder what this thing drives like with some better tires to help those lick and a prayer brakes.

Oh, that's very interesting. No I didn't do that. It was at the end of my session Thursday night, and I was tired, so I didn't experiment. If this happens again, I will definitely try your approach. Thanks!

@Barareklam I couldnt make upshifting while braking work. Mainly because i lose focus for the corner lol. So it felt weird for me and too much shifting to do and the car approach the turn quick. Im getting old man reaction times I guess 😅. But I gotta thank you anyway cuz I played to try it and did few laps after with normal downshifts and got a .3 🎉🎉

I used every assist for this one. ASM, CSA and TC.
This car is garbage. Never want to drive it ever again.
Howzit Gogga!

First off, you inspired me to get the car out of the garbage can and try again! I went back to all assist ON and whatever speed I am giving up is paying off in Ascari big time as my exit speed there is much better...back in gold land! Now if the 👽 would relax a bit!

Second, I am married to a South African and have been to South Africa five times - lovely country, food, wine & people!

Totsiens!

Nice! I tried without assists at first and it was more frustrating than anything else. Restart after restart.. daily mileage done without even one clean lap.
Really hope my time holds because I have zero motivation to get back in that monstrosity of a car!
Lucky you with a South African lady. Thanks for the compliments.
Next time you are here, hit me up. I will give you a lekker South African braai

Not sure about PS4, but PS5 stores the most recent gameplay for up to 2(?)hrs. It is the 3rd option when you hit the screenshoot button I think. It is not quite the same and you have to edit the video to grab your lap but it is better than nothing.

I lose the most time against the WR lap in S2. That's not to say they also aren't ahead in S1 and S3!

But I've gotten ok about only being a couple tenths behind there.

S2 is just difficult to get perfect.

Not sure about not being able to save the replay, seems odd if you didn't miss something.

You know there are a lot of players here that are 40 plus right...... you feel old?.... now tell me....... reveal your age 👽 🤣🤣

Congrats on the .3, insane again! 🍾🎊🥳🙏🙏

Civic TT was so fun to drive and I really wish I could get more play time.
On the first I wasn't so sure about car and track combo, but it is perfect.

Genesis is on the other hand such a pig to drive, and I managed to get 1.38.6xx (tcs 2,and exiting most corners in 5th) wich should be good to stay in 3% with no intention to go anywhere close to that car again.

Try 53... I'm just happy when I wake up and only two joints ache. And I'm sure I'm nowhere near oldest here.
56 here. I feel ya man. I got a herniated disc for a 50th birthday present, but thankfully that went away a few years later.

But I still feel like I had "Increase body rigidity" applied a long time ago!

I just recently started following this thread - I had no idea the legendary Jeddah_Raciing (@EbrahimX7) that I see always atop the global TT leader board was right here on :gtpflag:
