Just wanted to show my appreciation for that gorgeous thumbnail. It's nice that the TT is set within the "golden hour" as the photographers call it.
Thanks! I got a few different shots and yes, they're beautifully lit by a gorgeous sunset made better by reflecting off the gold hues of the Genesis.

Thought this one was the best because of the tires being off the ground headed into the drop.

Sorry guys for the flood but.... another improvement with the 458 :D :dopey:

Damned, my first sector was very medium (22:255) but thanks GOD, the 2 other sectors were "not so bad" (37:636 & 55:161).
My optimal is still at 1:54.7xx.

I still can't believe I'm 5687th...

Thanks so much Jérome, I really appreciate from you !!!
0.5 sec gained today, it's really amazing and I'm really motivated for the last 0.052...

I can't explain why but since the first laps with the NSX, this TT was "obvious" and I was in gold very quickly (less than 10 laps).
Then, I've keep on pushing and switched to the 458, still without ghosts or videos.
I don't know if I'm becoming a better player (or less worst) but this is an amazing and exciting experience.

I've also give a first serious try to Mt Panorama TT with my beloved RSR.
After 4 laps (1 invalidated), I'm 2 secs away from silver.
I'll definitely not chase the yellow medal here but it will be a perfect training for golding the CE.

Okay, now I need to push hard to make over 2 tenths... 💪

Day 2 at Mount Panorama. Decent progress but still a bit over 1 second from Gold.

Optimal lap is just outside Gold. So I think it's possible using the McLaren F1 GTR.

I started getting better on S1 and S4, but it seems like right now if I get a good beginning I stuff the lap in the middle two sectors in some manner.

I've just improved a little, safe silver, but far from gold.

It was interesting lap, the best first two sectors so far, but awful too late braking after long straight and way too early breaking at the last corner gave me 2:03.328

Video just like it's gold one :D

Very interesting and difficult tt.
For me there will be the two opposite forces connected to my two worst habits playing a huge role in the results I'll be able to achieve
Bad habit 1: too much speed at the (missed) apex
Bad habit 2: don't challenge enough car limits, translated here in racing soft adherence

Nonetheless, I like Bathurst, so good call pd

I have the same habits.

Got in there with the Supra....I seem to be a little bit more comfortable with it than the meta-Genesis for this one. It's showing an optimal of 2:00.881, so I guess I have a little more in the tank, I hope I don't need it but I have a feeling the gold time is still yet to reach it's fastest once all the aliens are done.

Bathurst really is an incredibly beautiful and challenging race track.
The Genesis seems to be meta, so I used it for my first session.
And wow is the car bitchy, extremely hard to get the power on the road especially the passage up the hill. Very understeery under braking, took me a while to get to grips with the car. Too bad you can't adjust the brake balance.

At the end of my first session I clocked a 1:59.400. Currently good enough for the top 100, but this TT seems to be extremely competitive. Let's see what else I can do over the next few days.

Getting closer. That was a twenty minute session in which I found my rhythm and lost it all very quickly. It's nice to see it can be done (I think). Two laps after this one I was half a second down and lost it on the first uphill left. Snap. My three lap streak was shot. 😂😂

I'm going on a road trip tomorrow to see a shelter dog about maybe bringing her home. We lost ours early last week and it's been tough around here without a companion. That said I probably won't get a fresh good session in until Sunday morning. Really hoping I can spend a bit of time dialing this in on my only day off this week.

Happy lapping all!

So many posts to read! :boggled: I got on the thread yesterday, liked some posts, then had to jump off as I was busy. That also meant I didn't fire up GT until after work today. Hit MP with the Genesis Gr.3 which is 10000000000x better than it's awful sibling at Monza. Came back to the discussion after my stint, dinner, and doing some laundry to find 6 (SIX) pages had been added to the thread! It took a while, but I'm now caught up and can post my time and replay. 1:59's might be possible, but it's going to take some work. I also guessed as I was exiting the TT that I would be ranked somewhere in the top 300 at worst. Nope! Not even close. There are quite a few drivers that have already put in some seriously fast laps.

On a side note, PD decided to actually be nice to me with my tickets. After receiving parts that I will never use on back-to-back days earlier in the week, the roulette gave me two cars for the last two tickets today. The BMW M4 Safety Car and Peugeot VGT (the Gr.1 version).

This TT brings back memory of my own visit to Bathurst back in 2017 for the 12 hours race, and was my 1st ever in person attendance of any GT3 races. Was rooting for the factory McLarens though unfortunately #59 was retired after Quali and #1 lost 5 laps early on. At least it regained all those lost laps to finish 5th overall.

So guess which car I picked for this TT. 😉 Now at 2:00.748, would really like to get into 1:59!

One of the (too) many photos I took during that race. 🙂

I have to say that’s a beautiful car!

Man im having a hard time on evil mountain...
And the worst part of it all....... for me, it's the last sector that kills me everytime .... threw somany faster laps away on the very last corner.... not even funny, I realy have to master that one 🙈

Clocked in right after @Evilmuffin today, there is a lot more in it but my hands are dead now 😵‍💫😵‍💫

I'll squeez all out of the Genesis before I change cars, for now a little rest 😂

@Dolph Drago this indeed seems again another high competitive TT, top times are insane and it seems a lot are very comfy with this combo 😵‍💫😂

@Boabdulrahman ......again you make us look stupid and very slow........ 😂💪🙏

Fun, but very difficult one! (altho for me 🙈)

Judging by all the comments, this TT at Mount Panorama looks like it will be very tough. I remember having a lot of trouble just getting a silver medal on this circuit with the McLaren. The Genesis Gr.3 is definitely not my favorite Gr.3 car. I much prefer the Porsche RSR or the McLaren 650S.
I'm going to have to spend some time on this TT but I don't have any time.
If I can improve my time of 1'54'336 at Autopolis with the Ferrari 458 quickly enough, maybe today I'll try a few laps in the Wallabies

Well I'm headed off to the mountain with the Porsche RSR. I had to buy some RS tires at the shop. That race shop comes in handy so I don't have to go back and do it at the tuning shop. My first goal is to get a time under 2'05.000, then I will polish up on my sector times. I've got 12 days to pull something off in a good way. By smashing records here.
