Do the CE parallel.
If I do the CE I do nothing else. And I know that it is extremely frustrating, maybe more than the current TT.
I don't have time and nerves to do both TTs, a CE, the weeklies and mess around a bit.
So I'll settle with bronze on MP, and someday maybe I'll finish the CE of this track, if I am able to level up to be a little bit better.

Finally hit a gold time. Laps still has some room for me to improve but i think that's it for now. Replay shared, gtp tag...

Don't beat yourself up. Bathurst is one serious hard track to master. Aside from all the rally tracks, it was the last track I gold the CE (yes, I actually golded the Nurburgring before Bathurat)....and it took me a few days.

If the gardens is more fun...then go fling that 190E into the air :D

New test today in Mount Panorama : 😡😡😡
And I thought my brain was going crazy !!! 🤯🤯😡😡
The best time of this session was 2'02'065. I didn't beat my time of 2'01'932. But I had an optimal time of 2'01'406 and above all what makes me even crazier is that I had a time of 2'01'728 but of course it was invalidated !!!! But why !!!!!

I had one last go at the Mount Panorama TT after doing a 2hr race there yesterday, followed by improving my CE times to all gold except the full lap, which is still 1.0s off gold, but at least I now feel it is within reach - almost.

Despite all that practice, however, I could only manage a modest improvement to 2:03.0xx in the TT, still over 1s off gold. I reckon this is one circuit/challenge that requires you to drive in a certain way that I'm just not used to/skilled in - but I'm happy with the certain silver, and I did at least manage a 2:02.5xx optimal.

Very not satisfying day with the Fat Old German lady...

This morning, I had lot of "Greeks" laps (from 1:55.0xx to 1:55.5xx) and this afternoon, I had many "German" laps (from 1:54:0xx to 1:54.5xx). And among these laps, I also had many Chinese ones (in red).
Not a single valid lap below 1:54.000 today. NOT A SINGLE ONE ALL DAY!!! :nervous:

I also would like to take a short instant to congrat @EbrahimX7 for his PB on Dragon Trail
Before, I only had 0.035 to save for gold. Now, thanks to him, I need 0.250... :irked:
When are you on holidays with your girlfriend or retired, dude? :grumpy:

I really need to let off some steam, I'm going to go kick some ass at Baldur's gate!!

First go in VR at Dragon Tail, this one is great in VR. 0.650 faster than gold at the time this morning, should be good to go. Almost got into the 1:52s, I think I could if I try again.
I was experimenting with bottom force feedback slider in GT7, set that to 3 and the top one to 10, and 75 overall on the wheel. I can feel when the tires start getting too hot and loosing grip, it's pretty cool. And you can really feel the car moving around under you in VR.

With Bathurst behind me, it is Day 2 at DTG.

After studying the fastest replay available, I then watched the lap guide by @Tidgney. Time to hit the track!

It was a short stint, but productive. Gold after just a few laps. Just about 1 second quicker than my blind run a couple days ago.

I quite enjoy this combo. There are still a few areas I need to figure out. Mostly the Mega Quad Left at the end of S1, the first right of S2, and finding some consistency through the Sausages.

Wait, i haven't been on since this morning. Where did the gold time change to?

How do i find my time on the gran turismo page when I don't know it? There is only a list of about 10.000 people. :odd: No possibility to search a name?

Edit: found it by accident. 1:53,444.
Is there no better way than scrolling for eternity? I mean Granturismo.com has "my page" logged in and the "sports" page and can't tell me my time? Am i missing something?

Other than looking in game I don't believe you can search on the site by name. Remote play and open the game to sport mode if you are away from home to check is the only suggestion I have.

I would like to congratulate my friend @tmtk who had a great time on Mount Panorama with a time of 2'01'099 !!!! 😲😲👽👽👽
Well done my friend and all this with the directional buttons and not the joystick or a steering wheel !!!! You amaze me !!!!:bowdown:👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Jerome.
As I said in my last post, I've outgrown my balls size for sure on this one.
Expected to struggle here with all that precision steering that should be utilized between those walls and yet I somehow managed.
The Skyline is my weak spot on the circuit as I don't have partial steering with the buttons, so I need to aim for a perfect turn in and it is where I mostly miss, but when it lands - the game's on ;)

You surely remember this TT in GT6 where we needed to run this track with Suzuki GSX-R/4, that is when I found the flow at the australian mountain. GT7 has very different car physics, but it still translates to the course.

"High wall on Forrest's Elbow marks the apex" - the best piece of advice someone said back then, understanding that corner allowed me to make a big step with the laptime. Everytime I pass that wall I'm smiling. 😅

Well I've got 3 pages of posts to catch up on, I'm fixing to do DTG, I decided I'm just going to take my bronze at MP, 2'05.029. That's good enough, I worked hard last Friday to get that time!
For what its worth, the lap you put in for Mount Doom was much better then the laps you did for some of the previous TTs. It was much much smoother...yes, you could be more brave with the throttle, but at less the release and reapply came in a smooth manner. The transition between braking and accelerating was a one smooth motion instead of on and off like a broken record from your previous TT. These are much more important then trying to get into gold time right away. You now finally have the fundamental skills to build up....and the time will come down eventually.
