I wont reply on the provocative messages based on pizza, ananas, and other horrors from the "British gastronomy" :yuck: :guilty:

First sessions in Sardegna after selecting a classic italian racing livery for the lovely Dino ♥

Now, let's talk a bit about the track ;)
The first laps were touchy, as you need some time to tame the car.
After that first stage, arrive the fun and the speed step.

I've scored a first 1:07.xxx and then very quickly, I joined the 1:06 club.
After tens of laps, I'm at +0.150 from the Yellow territory.

Final word from my friend @Gorefast : ATTACK!!!

I know what you mean. It always amazes me how someone like @Tidgney can not only set a time that is good enough for the top 10 in the first couple of hours of a new TT and produce a lap guide video for it, but he also does that while having to figure out the optimal lines, shifting and braking points by himself. I've gotten quite alright at replicating what someone else did, but that's just craft. What these guys do is art.
Remember, even though people like Tidge, Super GT, Rory etc. definitely have talent, playing GT7 is also a job to them.

On a good week I have maybe 4 hours of total play time in GT, whereas the people who play this "professionally" (i.e. an actual profession) dedicate many hours every day. If we all had the time, and the desire to play 4+ hours a day I bet we'd see a huge downward trend in all of our lap times. These players have such a deep understanding of the nuances of the game as well as rote memorization of track layouts and car behaviors it would be concerning if they weren't remarkably fast.

Anyways, I'm not one of those guys, and the TT at Lemans is really trying my patience. I was able to put 10ish (mostly incomplete) laps in and the ONE lap I actually finished without penalty got me in gold range, but not in a satisfying way at all.

Why they lowered the power of an already completely neutered Veyron is beyond me. It takes sooo looong to get around the track, and as it goes along I'm less and less practiced at the later sections of track. The amount of times I've thrown away laps in the Porsche curves and the last two chicanes is maddening.

Speaking of the Porsche curves... blech. Some of my least favorite corners anywhere. They're so misleading, have strange entries and braking points, and flow about as well as cured concrete.

I'm probably going to have to put more time in here to keep my gold safe, but I'm probably not going to be happy about it!

Good work my friend!!! Keep it up!!!

PS: what can we say about the British gastronomy? They eat beans and sausage for breakfast. 🙁

The classic fish and chips is nice though....🇬🇧

This will probably be my last stint in the Baguetti. Between the new TT and practice for the next couple rounds of GTWS, I just don't have the time to dedicate to finding tenths on a 4 minute lap.

But I did manage to get into the 17's, so that's nice.

I invalidated Lap 5 the last sector by a tiny amount exiting the left sweeper before the final chicanes. I yelled an explicative in frustration and then ran a good valid lap, if only a tiny bit slower.

Here's the replay.

Thanks my friend, you should like this TT, it's a funny one :)

I can't agree more about the Brits, they eat sausages and beans at breakfast, put ananas on their pizzas, able to paint a fabulous Dino in orange, and don't like Kate's skills on Photoshop...
Scary...!!!

Spent far to long this today on this time trial. Still trying to figure it all out. Did switch from bumper to hood view which netted some improvement. Optimals look like 1:04.9xx if I can string together a clean lap in the sea of red.

Also managed to get this far 'off track' in the fast right hander without invalidating my lap!

Another sea of red laps but the law of large numbers was on my side. Shaved off 0.2 to get me back under 2%. How is everyone controlling that right sweeper at the top of the hill so well? The car wants to squat deep into its suspension and keep hanging a right!

Ok, it wasn't as easy as i thought. And, ok, it's not 2 but 3 important breaking points.

But the new one is kind of fun. Took me 16 laps, exactly the amount i needed for the daily marathon, to get a good lap. Startet with 1:10 , had a lot of 1:07 :boggled: and finaly got +2,80% = 1:05,846 (i think) :). 2 or 3 tenth less should be possible.

First session with the Italian Impostor (some say the Dino is not a true Ferrari car...) and I liked this combo. What a contrast from the Bugatti/LeMans one, being able to complete dozens of laps over and over and always being on the edge. So nice.

It is silver for now, 0.1 away from gold. I'm confident I can enter the yellow territory again. Which would be a surprise for me being able to keep a gold streak.

I'm having trouble at T7. I never seem to carry the right speed after that. I'm not 100% sure where ia the braking and the turning reference yet.

@Pesselles you had me dying at "Kate's photoshop skills" 😂

Short remote session on the new TT
What an absolute joy this one for me, so delicate, time your slide is a make or brake here, but the first few laps were fun!
That's going to be tough to get that alien badge in this one 🤣🤣

Went on the safe side @zjn with Dino 🤣

Dang...already into the 1:04s with remote?

After the last 3 TT's which were decent for me, I'm finding this one as a toughie. Did about 10 runs and just barely into Bronze. Weight transfer is one of my problems. The Dino can go all over the place in a blink of an eye.
I'll give it a go again this weekend or next week.

Oh,what a Thursday this was,....decided to get all liquored up Wed night into Thursday morning,ugg,...today,in my hungover state i was putting a gallon of milk back in the fridge,i dropped it and thankfully i had just put the lid back on,whew i thought, dodged a mess there, hours later when i opened the fridge there was milk everywhere, apparently a tiny hole developed after the drop, ugg, what a mess,....after the great clean-up i did a 1:05.889 in the Dino.....went back tonight feeling a little better and got into the 1:05.5's :boggled:

Alfredo Ferrari (nicknamed Alfredino or Dino; 19 January 1932[3] – 30 June 1956[4]) was an Italian automotive engineer and the first son of automaker Enzo Ferrari. He was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy,[5] and died aged 24.[6] After his death, Ferrari named the car fitted with the engine that Alfredo was working on at the time of his death "Dino" in his honour.[7]

The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy was originally named the "Autodromo Dino Ferrari" in Alfredo's honour,[20] with his father's name added after Enzo's death in 1988. The 1979 Dino Ferrari Grand Prix was held there on 16 September 1979.

In reality I have the same condition as Dino did, and I'll be coming up to my 24th birthday soon. Poor fella didn't have access to the same sort of treatments and technology that I do. No, the condition still isn't curable but a lot has changed since Dino died.

Not as fast as I had hoped but I'm exhausted and didn't spend a ton on time figuring. Just blasted through. I found a pretty consistent moment really close to my best time so that bodes well for me to grab some more. I had a barely invalidated .460 as well. Fun car and combo. The short ones are far more interesting for me.

I find driving the Veyron Gr.4 @ Le Mans to be quite relaxing, in a way. Once again, I’ve got into silver range, but I really don’t know if I can shave off a whole three or four seconds to get into gold range. So, I’ll just keep an eye on my ranking to make sure I’m still in silver range by the time that this particular time trial expires in a week.
