oh.. man... @half_sourly you really know how to push our buttons to try get faster.... damn... :D I was laughing at @Dan_Tes when he yesterday said, "If I knew there would be icon for Alien status I would drive whole night to get it" and I was looking at leaderboard from RBR and first 3 on podium got alien badge and I was on fourth place thinking same as dan tes, well I could have pushed just a bit more, regardless that life is very busy right now.. anyhow ... with this intro.. now you added a CROWN !!!
man I was only once near to @djolliea I was literally 0.005 behind... and now ... there is a new temptation... a CROWN... hmmm man.. I mean I love you man but hey... hey... so looking forward many sleepless nights now... damn hahahaa..... a CROWN... for P1.... damn... well well well... maybe one sunny day, lets hope :D

I guess when @Gomario JSP sees it he will start turning his alarm to 3:30 in the morning to get it haha :D

If I thought I had a chance against Ed and Djolliea I would have done that indeed, but they are miles off me, I think our crown wearing alien Djolliea was at .4 this morning at Sardegna ....I'm at .7 ...... no alarm clock is going to fix that 🤣🤣

Doesn't sound like a lot but that's almost a tenth per corner 🤣🤣

Hi guys! Just finished the new Lap Time Challenge with the Ferrari, the car feels like a boat but if you nail a good lap is very satisfying. Good luck everyone, get that gold! 🏆

Damned, the 2 rascals @skydragon49 and @KAlex122 are putting a huge pressure on me with their insane scores... :nervous: I'm now +0.3 sec behind them.

Did few sessions since this morning but nothing very satisfying, for now: no PB improvement and no serious optimal.
I've mainly tried to get confidence and speed on T7, which is critical for the following straight. Not yet consistent here.

I know there are still some tenths to gain here and there, so I'll be patient and the improvement should come soon... :mischievous:

I'm glad I was able to get under the 1:05.9xx barrier, as I expected Jeddah Racing would break into the 1:03s 😮

Still, I think anything in the 1:05.8xx's and below should be safe... right?? :nervous:

1:05.8 is the limit to enter in safe yellow territory now. That's also @Tidgney 's prediction:

For what it's worth, your S1 is faster than mine in my PB. So.... I have a seat reserved for you in the low 2% club. I hope you can join soon.

I've tried a bit earlier but no luck, for now. But be assured I won't give up!
 
Decided to give it a try this afternoon. First 100km couldn't get a better time than 1.06.1, then left.
About two hours later jumper in again. After 10 laps i just about had the gold with a 1.05.9, 10 more laps a got a 1.05.706, which put me ahead of @Pesselles and @crome , already quite pleased with that I drove a couple more laps and managed to get a 1.05.4xx. Definetely 2-4 tenths more in there for me. Just need one lap where I get the, basically 4 corners right. So far at usually 2 or 3 work out rattert well, the other 1 or 2 not so much
Btw I bought the Dino a while ago in this beautiful dark blue, so no need to make it look like a garbage truck
 
First drive on the new TT. First time in this car, first time in this layout.

For a warm up, I did a 10 lap custom one make race. But after, I had a short stint only intending to do 10 laps. But a good amount of red times led me do a couple more to get a valid lap.

Sunday I'll watch some guides and the WR lap to see where I can improve.

My lap usually dies at the fast left right before the pits. At least .6s are lost there, and I've to figure out how to handle it. I really need them for the gold

As for the new tt, so far so good 😞

That's one of the hardest corner at Le Mans. Try lift and downshift to 4th, turn in early, then shift back to 5th and use partial throttle until you sure you won't understeer off the track.

Long italian session tonight with my non-orange Dino :dopey:

Many laps in red, many laps over 1:06, few laps under 1:06, and finally.... a new PB with 0.271 sec saved as expected !!

A clean first sector, a good T7, and the last turns were not too much butchered.
With a clean 2nd sector, I could probably still gain some others tenths. We'll see.
But first, I need to gain confidence and be more brave on the 2nd sector, as I am on the first one.

My new optimal is not so far from my new PB:

Ideally and based on my optimal, I would love to gain 0.221 sec on each sector but I'm afraid it's too ambitious.

Really fun time trial this. Into the 1:04s.....

Since Xmas seen to have turned a corner consistently hitting all golds. Constant gt7 plus the new Logitech pro has taken me from consistently been gold and top 10k to gold and top 1k ISH (lemans with standing as couldn't be bothered)

But this is what it's all about the sheer variety. Think for me their should always be a long / short combo on the time trials with as much variation as possible

The thing here seems to be to stay in a high gear as possible until the last second, especially in the first and last corners

What a car!

Also ....9 tenths off first and 5 tenths off 10th .....

How. Does. He. Do. It.

17 to be exact and most of them red.

Gold time (provisional) reached.
The optimal is misleading though as some of my best sectors were done while invalidating.

I'm content that this is all me and my knowledge of the track (plus ofcourse very stable Bug on the exits).
Now I need to watch some lap guides and abuse those track limits a little more.

I think I have one more push left in this TT, my time is safe (I think....) but I'd like to get one more improvement. I 'm just not in the groove today it seems. I lapped a 100kms today with no progress.

But congratz to you! Your efforts payed out! 😎

Edit: if I could I'd name that damn T7 "the gamble". Because for me it is pretty much what it seems like. 😂

A small gain of just under a tenth today. This session was more about trouble getting through turn 1, which obviously leads to a slow first sector if it doesn't go well. Of course whenever I would nail it, I would seem to blow turn 7. My optimum was a 4.6xx if only I could put everything together. My best less than a tenth off the you-know-whos but feels like a minute.
