Hi friends!

It’s crunch time today for Le Sarthe! I’ve put my name in the hat, I’ve hit my target… I’m praying it’ll be enough, I want my goddamn 👽!!!! Sub 4:16:5 was my personal goal and I’ve just JUST slithered beneath that. Optimum suggests theirs another couple of tenths in the tank at my current pace but I’m PRAYING this time will hold, currently P92 :odd:

Quick run at Sardegna, both fun and frustrating and with steery cheat mode still firmly enabled there’s plenty of time left to discover..

I set a 1:04.4 dead only for it to be cruelly invalidated by the track limits on that final corner exit, why is the blue zone there if you can’t use it!?? It must have been millilitres but hey ho that’s the way the cookie crumbles 😁

Does someone have a tutorial "How to string best scores together in the same lap for dummies?" :mischievous:

Sticking to my late-Wednesday traditions in the Evo: red sighter lap with crap middle sector, red sighter lap 0.3s off gold, 1:47.224.

That'll do it :D Hopefully gold #11 - which would mean more golds than others for the first time (seven silver, two bronze, one literally nothing - either because I was running real slow to see how far down the times went and forgot to do a real lap, or because it was one I hated and forgot to void my lap).

I do like Le Mans, but I may well skip it because of the frustrating track limits and sucky car.

I lied. Did a sighter lap and at 4:21.0 it was already gold. Invalidated a second lap at Mulsanne - must have disturbed the air near a bollard because I sure as hell didn't clip one - at 4:20.4, got a banker lap in at 4:20.8. There's a 4:19.7 optimal so I might press on...

Edit: On controller, cross-legged on a swivel chair, in a towel after my shower :lol:

Edit edit: 4:19.9 will do just fine :D

Ok surely that’s my 👽 earned!? I actually set a few PBs this evening without realising I still had steery cheat mode on (@330_D 💀) not that it seemed to do anything to the rock solid Bugfatty. 4:15.xxx was a carrot dangle but I’m still bloody proud of that time!! Best lap wasn’t even that special in the first couple of sectors but I pulled it back over the rest of the lap… Nowhere near @Evilmuffin ‘s incredible time still but that was just mad!!

Rats. A top 100 at Le Mans just wasn't in the cards for me. Fingers crossed I hang onto top 125. Over 80 miles run today and 4 laps I bothered to complete, only two of which were even valid by the time I reached the line. :boggled: And two of those laps I was on for a personal best but messed up the Porsche Curves and final chicanes badly both times. Oh, well. I'm certain this is by the far the best result I've had in a Gr.4 car. With a fun, slidey car as the current TT, I wonder what tomorrow will bring? My bet is Gr.3.
 
A 4’15 turned out to be the goal for me here. Was stuck at 4’16.018 for a while but on a later lap the final sectors clicked better (though I was frustratingly +0,2 behind my 16.0 at the first chicane on the Mulsanne straight), got it down to a 15.770 which felt beyond expectations as Gr.4 isn’t my thing. Glad this one’s over, onto the Dino next week.

After a few weeks away from the game, and apparently 120 posts behind!, I jumped on and found that the Circuit de La Sarthe time trial had a few hours left.

I gave it a go, while drinking a beer, and progressively got worse through my session. But after a couple dozen laps, I finally managed to get three that were not invalidated through track penalties or crashing out. The third lap I got sub 5%. I called it a night there that was good enough .

Uh, I'm guessing this one isn't going cause much conversation... what is there to talk about?

Currently there is 0.4 seconds separating the fastest time from the 701st time (the slowest current time). I think this one will end up with the shortest deltas between the record and the slowest times.

This thing sounds like an old train on wooden tracks with a rocket strapped to it.

What a strange TT... but yeah, probably a free 2 mil and gold medal for everyone.
