As expected, i think PD nailed it on this one, what a blast!, i like Road Atlanta somuch more in this setting!
The 918 with racing softs is real handfull and i even lost it a couple of times in the S'es.
First stint wasn't that bad with a sub 16, but i have to get my brakepoints fixed, T1 i get, altho 5/10 times i mis the apex..
3 is the standard killer, no different with this car, T5 most of the time i'm comming in too hot out of the Sés...., ease up...brake in 3th......and pray for no tracklimit...
but T6 is a real mistery for me, sometimes i brake earlier than normal and have understeer like crazy and i have no chance of getting near the apex, then next lap i brake later and the car almost drags itself to the apex but i run wide on the exit
But i love the fact that it still slides on RS, i already had some good tankslappers in the first few laps

Braking zone on the last chicane... i'm not so sure yet, i watched doodle but he is sausing that gearbox like crazy from 6 to 1
I think i'll keep the red banner on the right and slam on it just before without sausing, but i already threw away some realy good laps there!

I like this one!

@Evilmuffin , you were still 26th this morning, i was checking the top times and there the Muffin was, nice time already so early!

Here is your weekly roundup of TT results.
  • I have added a Certificate Threshold line to the Honda event.
  • The result of my survey was 25 for DR and SR, nil for DR only and 2 for neither, so I will include DR and SR in the tables.

Here are some statistics for TT48 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Gr.1.

This was a request to help people see how many places they're likely to gain by gaining a certain amount of time.

Amazing work as always! thank you very much. And btw, if you need new icon, I just made one :D

Golds in the Gr1 R.A. and off to.......... R.A.

The Porsche 918 is actually pretty fun. It's not an understeery POS like so many of the previous road cars (wonder if the RS tires have anything to do with it?). I actually thought it was pretty easy... thus far. Got a 1:16.000 with tons of room. I'll probably eat those words when the aliens wake up lol

Also knocked a second off my Civic Nord time to get back within the gold. This is one that I am sure I could do fairly well in if I put the practice in but all I really care about is gold. I still haven't gotten the stones to do the Suzuka Civic on as I feel like the game/PD will realize I am not under 18... mainly because I've already done the Nord and now 918 TTs. I feel like I'll be DQ'ed from the TTs if I sign up for Suzuka. Probably not, but a bird in the hand and all that.

The 29th is looking like a good payday! Two TTs over and a 918 I can sell. Might be a 5ish million (or more if I decide to do the Suzuka TT) dollar day!!!

I couldn't get a grip with the Road Atlanta's new TT. inspite opf RS, the car's so hard to turn. My first 6 laps were all invalidated due to the tricky nature of the car. Put in a sober 1:19:050 to end my misery there as of now.

The Honda Civic TT at the Nurburgring with Sports Hard was more fun & grippier inspite of a 7 minute long long. The Porsche 918 on RS was my nightmare that I haven't faced in a long time. Sheesh.....

Car weight and speed. At barely 300hp, the Civic wouldn't get to any kind of insane speed before it has to brake...also it's a few hundred pounds lighter than the 918.

When it comes to RS....I've notice while the RS has tons of grips ....there isn't reaaly that much transition zone between grip and no more grip. It kinda will just brake traction suddenly if you push too much. And here is the fun part....it regains grip suddenly too. So while you are scrambling to counter steer....it bits suddenly and you are now pointing straight at the barrier :D

Oh man, T2 at Road Atlanta is a bit much of a lottery for my taste. Feels pretty damn great when you do eventually nail it but it's not often that happens when you need to go absolute 100% into it. T4 was hella tricky too, especially in the understeer monster that the 919 is. Commendable and manageable hybrid though.

Last sector and the uphill section could've been way better but it would have to do as sleep and work was desperately calling...

Totally amazing time and extra kudos for getting that time on controller !!!

So someone at PD must've taken a look at the lambo TT comments and went:

"Oh. They don't like the understeer.
WHAT IF WE ADD OVERSTEER WITH THE UNDERSTEER! They'll surely love that!"

Cause that's what the 918 TT is. More of understeer at high speeds, but with added excitment due to oversteer at lower speeds.

Anyhoo, pretty decent first day.

The funny thing is when you run out of rotation, you yeeeeth it in second gear and you almost make a 360
I have to get used to it tho, but i like it, hope to make a few stints this weekend!
Fast time already!

At least for out of all the current TTs, the Nurburgring TT is still the most fun & satisfying when the time gets improved upon.

Fed-up with these geographical restrictions on TT's 😡. I Can't participate in the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta TT. @half_sourly please take note of this when working your magic?
Hi again. I'm afraid my position remains as set out here. More strongly so now, given there are typically three events a week I have to process. In fact next week there will be a bumper four events to report on; St. Croix final, Alsace interim, Nürburgring interim and the Michelin event at Road Atlanta interim.

I get it. But at least mark it down as a "Special Event" as you did with the Olympic TT. You have a section dedicated to people that have managed to get gold in every TT and make a note of it when that number drops -

Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 114 to 113.
A note saying not all drivers were able to take part could have (and has in my case and probably others) resulted in the drop.

Edit: If it has come across that I'm not appreciative of your efforts then I apologise. I do truly appreciate all that you do and thank you again for the effort you put in to this.

I'm just really grateful for anything you provide. It takes unpaid time and effort and that is very much appreciated by myself and most if not all of the community.

Do what works best for you mate, we all appreciate the effort how ever big or small 🍻

I'm not even that serious about this game in the way that some are but I really like being a part of this. Also, there is a link to help fund Mr. Sourly's time commitment. A buck or pound or euro or whatever you use multiplied by a few folks in here a couple times a year probably is a good way to help.
