I believe this is my first time that actually earned a Silver. It wasn't the cleanest of laps so I definitely have a :27 in there if I have to go back for it. Something tells me I'll have to go back for it.

The upshot is this is probably the best and fastest group of players, across all the bandings. Just the best if the best or near as damn it best or like me the best if the people trying to be the best but is ok with trying.

The reality really is that most of our participants pwn the top xxx and are getting better each week.

This is amazing work and effort.

Today I got a good improvement, from 2:14:325 down to 2:14:195

In this lap I got my personal S1 and S2 splits and managed to convert that into a PB with a good S3. I wish I could break into the 13's but I guess that will be it.

Well, I'm sitting at 3.00% right now in the Mission X TT so that's going to be a silver so hopefully this S2000 time holds so I can get gold in one of these things...

I'll tell ya, there's nothing quite like the feeling of elation you get when you come around the final corner of a track in GT7 with nothing but a long straight-away between you and the S/F line and you're nearly half a second up on your previous best time.

I was reseasoning my cast iron frying pans yesterday and at one moment my right hand slipped through the rag and I grabbed a handle straight from the oven at 275 celsius, got burns in the middle of the palm, spent the entire afternoon rubbing various crap to fix whatever I can, but I still managed to sit down in the evening and do a session, luckily you don't have to shift here so I could do it with 1.5 hands

Still, 20s are so near but so far. Great advice @TheNormsk on the T2(3) exit, definitely helped, and thanks @bliprunner for the ghost I just cannot do the first sector properly (again), I can nail S2 and S3 no issues almost, doing a regular 36.7 and 25.1, but the first sector, man... Remembering my best times in two sessions (19.019, 36.600, 25.081) potential perfect laptime would be 1:20.700 dead, which is of course impossible, but even going into the 20s, I would be happy.

A pickup of nearly a second in my second session at Grand Valley. But I did lose a little time on the final straight because I waited too long to shift and briefly hit the rev limiter.

Just behind @Tidgney's controller time. Insane how you can do that in just a couple of laps when it takes me many, many miles.

Is TC really that helpful with the X2019? I had it at 0 and didn't have too much of a problem with control aside from the very tight corners. I'm looking at you, turns 1 and 2 of the GP circuit. Oh, and the blasted carousel. Both of them, actually.

Thank you! Actually I love road cars just as much, I just tend to do a bit better in high downforce cars for whatever reason. Or let's say "tended to do" because I have a feeling that this narrative will come to an abrupt end at the Nürburgring 🤣

Grand Valley on the other hand was super productive yesterday. As I had hoped, I managed to gain almost half a second in S3. Applying your method of using 3rd gear throughout the last chicane worked wonders.

Very happy with this one! I dropped three places already since last night when I made the screenshot, so this very likely won't hold for top 100, but finding more time will be difficult for me. I lose one tenth compared to @Tidgney 's time in S1, and three tenths each in S2 and S3. So there are no big errors to fix anymore, it's all about the small details from here on I guess.

Maybe one of you guys can spot some untapped potential, would be much appreciated

I also discovered a party trick in the Porsche. VR drivers do not get real time deltas but in the Porsche you do! Staring at us all this time, it’s in the dash.

I had another go on the mission X TT. Managed to improve again and finally got a top 50 time that I was aiming for.

But also so many disappointments. I had quite a lot of laps where chasing @MR-CERF (6th fastest global time) I would often be on pace or even up only throw it away in the last corner.

This was one of the worse and I switched off after this. Turn 1 and 2 were spectacular for me but I didn’t realize I got my wheels on the grass and putting the power down turn 3…. Well you can see me rest my head into the steering wheel in a big sigh. 😂

I’ve been running TC2 so far, I started on 1 but I have a bit of a heavy foot at times, so the TC still helps me in this car more than it hurts me for now.
