The kart has been featured relatively frequently but always as a daily, yeah. Tsukuba at least three times, Brands Indy once and also at Eiger Nordwand (which was incredibly good actually!).

146k participants is a lot, but not most by a long shot. Recently we've been around 180k a lot - see Main Table under spoiler.

True, but it‘s not even halftime yet, so that‘s pretty remarkable. Which is why it‘s hard to judge for me if the additional tenth I found tonight will be enough for top 100, but I‘m happy with the result either way.

It was undeniably fun, but I think I am done now unless we get the Lambo VGT again on Thursday … at Lake Louise

Time is close to my optimal, 49.0 seems out of reach. But let‘s be real, this is 24 hundredths from the world record, how on earth am I supposed to improve from here?

Broke with my usual routine of waiting until the last day to run the expiring TT. Don't know what orifice this dropped out of on lap 19 of the 29 I did this evening.

For one reason or another, I'd thought I had to get a 16.0xx lap in for gold and was erroneously thinking my mid to low 16s weren't sufficient. After that 15 popped I ran off several more thinking I could better it and only got within a tenth of a 15 one other lap. Backed out after lap 29 and saw this on the screen and was all "Wuuut?! Dayum!" Maybe it was the 1.5hr nap I had after dinner. @Nicktune it's a single data point at the moment but hey, it appears to have worked here rather well. If that position holds up after tomorrow, it oughta' be my best TT finish to date.

I'm thinking the manufacturer of this car should read "Mitsupushi".

Great lap 🙌, looking at your lap I see a tenth on the second corner (druids) if you take a shorter trajectory by touching the kerb a little at the apex. Are you using the TC at 1?

Yes, very demanding this one...... the real problem is that a 7 is in there.... I think this was .440 split on S2 ..... and the fastest split was .379 .....so 🤣🤣

But indeed extremely hard to even have a mid top 100 here!

I got stuck on 1:15.787 with Evo (with OPT at 1:15.5xx).
I guess I could progress the most having the last hairpin (T4) better as this is where Ghost goes of the leash over the bridge.

Happy to hear any trick or technic allowing you to be quicker on the Throttle. I tried slow in fast out but without bigger success, neither attacking apex from wide, ghost runs away in the middle of turn.

I stayed in 2nd for the braking and rotation, take the tight line and either feed the throttle gradually in 2nd, or stamp on 3rd. Both methods work I think. Sometimes you will mess up the exit and invalidate the lap but you need to gamble a bit.

SO basically, it is rather tight (I know cutting thru the bushes does't work) and not even a bit wider?
I think I will give it a try with I think @half_sourly jut focusing on this one and not being concerned about rest of turns.

Yeah, very tight. Basically as long as you don't hit the fence, you should be good. Exit in 3rd for me.

just to say that there might be alternative solutions to the problem. The size one that I would need I don't think they have invented yet though

Ah sorry, misread your last post to mean the last corner. For T4 I found it crucial to straighten the wheel and get on the throttle (in 3rd) as early possible, every meter counts since it's a long way until next right-hander.

That doesn't look bad... as @crome says it's maybe just a case of firing it out in 3rd.

Edit: And on exit the ghost is a little straighter across the grass.

Curious: This is my first TT with the kart, but I presume there had been other kart TTs before. Are the number of participants for kart TTs usually this high? Or is it more that there are more people able to Gold it much more easily than other TTs? Or is it a case of both?

I hadn't seen this many players within Gold, even at the preliminary stages. But I'm only about 15 TTs old at this point. 🙂

It's the track more so than the kart.

Short tracks (ovals, Brands Indy, High Speed Ring, Kyoto Miyabi) always boost participation, and Nordschleife/Le Mans/St Croix always depress it, regardless of the car used.

Thanks guys. Indeed both ghost and @crome looks very streight when hitting the gas. So I really need to dig for those meters...
So far 3rd was not doing the job for me.

Doing @Barareklam's FIA editing thing would might help, but I lack of time for so big effort.

Edt BTW thanks @crome for your pic - it hit me how many tenths I should shave from start-finnish straight taking last T tighter.
