After being lvl 28 in a-spec i think it's about time i start b-spec.
The first time i did it seemed very boring and very frustrating.
I need some tips and tricks on how to be a successful b-spec driver.:)

Let your driver in on some remote races.

He'll level up fast and then you can destroy B-Spec since he'll be a higher level already and can handle your better cars.

most important: use ovepowered cars :D

light cars, 4x4, fgt/x1 everywhere it's possible... all of that will make it easier for bobs

low lvl bobs suck...bad. they seem to need to be around lvl 10 before they start getting noticeably better. so like the previous poster suggested, get your friends to remote race him, he'l level up quickly. (there's a topic on here for friend requests for remote races if you need more.) i had a lvl 0 go up to lvl 20 in around a day solely from being remote raced. oh, and be sure to return the favor to your friends by racing their bobs for them too

Enter the level 0's in a long race like "Like the wind" or an endurance race with an overpowered car. They'll be level 10-20 in a race or two. They're very irritating at low levels and do get much better. But it's pretty boring at every level!

The remote B-spec has been a good addition to the previous advice we would give you.

At lvl 28 you should have an F-GT which would be a good way overpowered car for the initial races...but as previous guys say more overpowered the better.

B-spec drivers don't match the AI with same cars till lvl 30.

Right now i am doing remote racing with a friend and it seems to be going nicely.
My friends list is pretty small because i just got a ps3 so I should find remote racers to add.

Here's an important one:

Don't overuse "pace up" and "overtake". Instead of thinking of "pace up" and "pace down" as "speed up" and "slow down", think of them as "drive harder" and "calm down"

Let your driver negotiate other cars by himself, only use the overtake command on late-braking corners, that's where it'll make the most difference.

Bobs are useless at the beginning, and it can be pretty frustrating, but the rewards of having 6 B-spec drivers online to remote race with your friends is a great community effort that yields constant rewards.

Also, power is the best way to make your Bob win. If you're looking to win a difficult race, pump more power into the car, if that doesn't work, add even more power, if that still doesn't work, reduce weight and add power.

EDIT: And if you need cars to get through a Bspec race check your friend's online garages, or just friend and PM me and I'll be happy to put whichever ones you need up.

Put your info in this thread and you'll have a couple dozen online folks to race with in about 24 hours. Let your driver remote race and he'll level up in no time.

I went from level 0 to level 16 in about 8 hours of remote racing yesterday. I hosted about a dozen and others raced my driver as well. He's been racing all day today, but I haven't collected the rewards yet.

Be sure to read the B-Spec FAQ here to get some tips.

Also know that your driver doesn't level up from remote racing until you actually collect his rewards, so don't be surprised when you run him in a bunch of races and his level doesn't change right away.

Also take note of the save bug in that FAQ so you don't lose your progress and waste your time. After you collect your rewards, you have to manually save your game (apparently the auto-save won't save your online rewards form some reason). Just back out to the GT Life menu and click the small gray square with the red dot on the left-hand side of the screen to manually save.

Hope that helps. I had the exact same questions as you do only a day ago!

Patience, patience, and more patience to go along with all that power, power, and more power.

It has been my experience that hot headed Bobs do better in close races.

B Spec can be VERY frustrating, especially at the lower levels. As my Bob's advanced (as well as my own grasp of how to direct them) and their abilities increased I found that I really enjoyed the close races. The NASCAR Series was TONS of fun.
