Lake Maggiore 30 Lap Endurance. For the life of me I cannot get even bronze. The previous endurance I used my wrx and lapped the field twice. Not so easy with the 911 RSR. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Ty

Fuel and tires are your best friends here.

When to pit...

Lap 9 - Hard Tires Tank Full
Lap 18 - Hard Tires Tank for 7 laps
Lap 25 - Medium tires - Fuel 7 laps

Run your fuel at (4) the first 18 laps, after the pit stop increase it to 1 for max power.

I used RS tires & pitted every 6 laps at max power. Using a DS4, I set TC at 2 with ASM on.

Good luck.

My first run was a recon - I discovered that I couldn't drive the 991 on TC1 without spinning out and that fuel map 1 wasn't going to do it.

Second serious run - fuel map 3, pitted lap 16, but since my RH tires were pretty good, I thought I could use RM to finish. Wrong wrong wrong. Good laps on RH and fuel map 3 were around 2:04.5. With the RMs, after about 6 laps, 2:07.<whatever>. 3rd place for silver just not good enough.

Third run - fuel map 3, pit lap 16, RH and 14.3 laps of fuel. I was pretty consistent with 2:04, some went longer by a second or two due to lap traffic, some faster due to good drafting. Best lap broke 2:03. I was surprised to find myself in 1st by lap 8. GT in the past has had variable rabbits with some easier than others. Here my rabbit was a Ferrari. I came out of the pit in 4th but by lap 19 I was back in 1st. The Ferrari was reeling me in in the last few laps, closing by a bit more than a second a lap. After a serious bump by a lapped Mustang, he was on my butt and got by for a bit, but I repassed on the same lap. At lap 28, I pushed fuel map to 2. Apparently his tires gave up, he pitted from 2 seconds behind for a splash and dash on lap 29 and came out 10 seconds behind, closing to 3 seconds by finish. For some reason the Honda NSX was consistently a crappy car to pass. Not sure what's up with that.

7 and 8 and I'm done!

Finally getting around to completing the missions. This was the last one on Stage 6 that I needed to do. Pitted every 6 laps and finished in around 1 hour and 1 minute, including a couple of nasty offs because I only use ABS and nothing else.

I'm not sure if they have changed the fuel usage and difficulty with an update or anything, but when racing this at fuel map level 1, on hard tyres, I am getting 10 laps out of the car.

TC is set to 2, and only needed to pit at the end of lap 10 and 20. Won with about 15 seconds to spare, and that includes 2 spins (1 my own fault, and 1 where I was completely taken out passing a backmarker) that dropped those particular lap times but over 20 seconds each. I think I'm going to try it again and get a clean run to see how far ahead I can finish.

On to groups 7 and 8 now, going for all golds...

^ On every 6th lap I started having some serious trouble not kicking the back end out on every corner exit. My tires were showing about 50% but I didn't want to risk spinning out so easily for another 1-4 laps. I used RS tires.

I just completed group 7 of the missions yesterday. Took no time at all in the BMW Z4 Gr.3. All gold on first try. Today I will finish all of group 8 and finally have 100% gold completion for everything in GTS besides the recently added mode which doesn't count for anything.

I just did this one since I'm just now getting around to finish the campaign mode and get 100%. I only pitted twice and here's how my strategy played out.

Started the race on Soft and fuel map 1. Took the lead of the race at the start of lap 8 and then pitted at the end of that lap (by that point I was about 6+ seconds clear of P2). Then I went on Medium (in hindsight, I probably should or could have gone on Hard) with a full tank for the second stint which lasted 14 laps. After the first pit stop, I came out P5. I kept the Fuel map at 1 for about 4-5 laps which allowed me to retake the lead of the race and got about 12 seconds clear of P2 before I changed the fuel map to 5. I pitted at the end of lap 22, 52 seconds clear of P2 (The last 3 laps of that stint were pretty sketchy because I barely had any rear traction and the back end wanted to give away at every turn . PS. I spun out twice during that second stint after the AI pit maneuvered me). After the 2nd stop, I went on the soft again with enough fuel for at least 10 laps on fuel map 1 to finish the race with 50+ seconds clear of P2.

Not sure if the difficulty level has since been dropped but that one was fairly simple...I've had more issues getting gold in some of the rally stages then that race.

Just did it today quite easy with 1stop on hards. Set the fuel to 4 and pit at end of lap 14 still had enough fuel to push fuel up to 1 for a couple of laps in between as well. Just aim to lap 2:03 consistently and you will win by about 25 seconds.

Soft tyres. 6 lap stints. Drive the wheels off the car!

Can confirm.
First time tried on hard tires, aiming for 2 pit stops, fuel around 3-6 -> became 8th overall.
Eventually: RS tires, ABS Default, TCS between 2-3 and fuel usage on 1, pitted every 6 laps. Became 1st by lap 11, times usually between 2:01-2:06, 1:59 fastest.

1st attempt.. rac med tires..gained 1st position within 8 laps. 1st pit on lap 12. Changed tires to racing soft. Came down to 8th position by lap 20 on 2nd pit..gave up. Best lap 2min 20seconds.

2nd attempt..had a 2 stop strategy every10 laps/Racing medium tires/tc 0 to 1 depending on tire wear/ fuel setting at 1.

1st within 8 laps. 2nd on 1st pitstop..then .maintained 1st position theiuht out. After 2nd pitstop at lap 20..changed fuel setting to 4 as i had a 26second lead. Wanted to slowdown amd maintain tire grip till end. Last lap..2nd position had gained on me with jus 3 seconds behind. Changed fuel setting back to 1 ...tc at 1 and went in for the win.

This was a good one. Ran fuel at 3 and RH tires. On controller. Stopped every 10 laps. On the last put I guess I shorted myself on gas because coming around double rights at the end of lap 29 my fuel was below 1 lap. Stopped and put just enough to finish and RS tires. Came out with a 10 second lead, turned fuel to 1 and finished with a 15 second lead. Fastest lap which was with worn tires on lap 26 was 2:00:138

I made several aborted attempts myself where I just couldn’t get my lap times down below 2:05 and would end up crashing off somewhere. Then, after reading this thread, I put on the softs and was able to do a 2 stop strategy with fuel setting 1 for the first two. Lapping around 2:01-2:02, I got the lead around lap 15. Turned the fuel down for the last stint, more to avoid mistakes than anything else. I ended up winning by 15 seconds, although I did lose about 5 seconds drifting into the sand trap at the hairpin on the banked turn.

It sounds like the difficulty has eased off as fuel wasn’t an issue, although the tyres got a bit loose from the 6th lap of each stint. Good fun challenge in the end but thanks to the OP for this thread and the respondents for their help.

Just completed this event, never dropped fuel from max power (well tried for 2 laps way too slow), traction down to 2, would not like to try to drop in lower.....
Started on hard tyres 10 laps, then mediums 7 laps, then soft's 7 laps, at this point i was in the lead, i then panicked as the car behind was catching me rapid, so stayed on used soft tyres, just 7 laps fuel.. . exit pits he is less than a second behind me, he overtakes for a lap then i think his tyres went off, won with 6 seconds to spare phew! :)

I will add on hard tyres i was lapping at about 2.07, once i knew the track and on medium tyres that dropped to 2.03 / 4, then softs 2.01s, whenever i was on a faster lap the computer cars somehow got in the way :/, the soft tyres at 50% life at the end still lapping in the 2.03s

Reading above i was expecting a much harder event, i am guessing they have made it a bit easier?

Mission challenge stage 6, no 8.

Completed today on my USA account, soft tyres until your fuel runs out, Fuel map 1 all the way, 12 laps, 12 laps and pitted on lap 24

BB +2, a lapped car spun me off and cost me 7secs, another couple of +2sec laps due to traffic but completed under the hour.

All cars lapped.
