Recently there has been an influx of n00bs to the GT2 forum.
That is 👍 for GTP as a whole, but here is a message to them to help make their stay more welcomed by the existing members.

1) Use correct spelling and grammer. Drifter language is 👍 in the drifter forum, not here.

2) SEARCH before posting new thread. It will prevent flaming from other members.

3) Read Pupiks guide to GT2

4) Read Pupiks guide to GT2 again.

5) Read NocturnalPS's guide

6) Read NocturnalPS's guide again.

I agree with all but that.

"Drifter language" should not be acceptable anywhere. We are all supposed to follow proper spelling and grammar according to that little thing called the AUP, whether you are in the drifter forum or not.

In other words, don't encourage them.

in order to be old and wise first you haft to be young and stupid
lets face it we were all noobies once so give them a chance if they piss you off then just wait a minute before posting then just point out there mistake after all we learn from mistakes and even though there new to the site they probably aren't new to the game i know that a played for a year before joining
p.s. if you are a noob make sure that you know what your talking about, or that you aren't saying anything stupid you only get one first inpression

Ok, mistake: Not using punctuation.
 
It was rare to see any threads closed in the GT2 forum. Let's get a few things straight here:

1. No personal attacks.

If you have to attack another member because he likes nitrous oxide, and you don't; then you're no better than any other creatin whom we've banned before.

2. No more non-GT-related comparisons in any of the GT threads.

That's right, no more drift-vs.-grip, import-vs.-export, Coke-vs.-Pepsi...etc. threads here. It's all been done before, we're more than happy if you just search (yeah, it might take 2 minutes of your precious time!) for the thread and post away as you wish in the correct forum.

3. Searching and using the right forum.

You'll learn a lot, and keep things in order. It's at the top-left corner, and the drop-down box on the bottom-left. Use it, or lose it. Also, keep topics relevant to the forum.

4. Spamming.

Get a grip people...it might take a few hours or even a day for a response. The same goes for unnecessary, irrelevant pictures attached to your post.

5. Grammar and punctuation.

Try to use whole words and complete sentences, if possible. The period key is not your enemy, nor will it give you SARS. Why should you use complete words? Because the site's search engine can't do much with 1337-speak and chat-like language. It only improves your spelling and typing skills to use real words properly and correctly. That said, I'm not going overboard when someone types "Sykline" or "Trail Mowntain" or "Grand Trusimo".

That wasn't necessary, Curveball...that's a personal attack.

Don't take the word newbie/n00b, personal. We're all beginners at some point, and at least Cosmic hasn't been banned yet, compared to some other member who named himself after a certain SEC team that got beaten by the Gators...

Thanks for posting this. The only rule that I have broken is #1. There are some brain dead dumbasses that I just can't stand, and I only joined a week ago!:lol: I hope that other new people read this and pay attention.

BTW: Cosmic must be in denial or something

You must understand that there are a handful of new members posting in each forum daily. It is no fun welcoming someone, only to have them bugger off a day later. When someone sticks around awhile, they get warmed to.
