Can`t seem to find the pic on here but I swear I saw that you will be able to pick not only the compound but also the manufacture.

I wonder if it will be purely cosmetic(like on the sidewall) or if it will actually play into the characteristics of that tire?

I need me some Pirelli's lol.

Yeah, don't remember this being mentioned.

I am sure I heard something about this also but had a look and could not find anything. I like the idea however. However my beloved Yoko's are partnering GT so it aint no thang......

Ya... I was sure that I saw a pic and such on here a week or 2 ago but I couldn't find a thing when I looked for it again.

The only thing I've heard related to GT6 and tire companies was working with Yokohama on a new tire model. I wouldn't really care for choosing tire manufacturers. My $0.02

I don't think this counts, but there's an image of the GT3 SLS and its sidewalls say something... also i think the BMW GT3 has something similar... but I think its just part of the model. Although how cool would it be to have a cars actual tires modeled in game...

I've noticed that a good number of the race cars do have markings on them from tire companies, and rally cars I recall from GT5 as well, but I would assume those are there as part of the vehicle model, as sk8er913 says. I wouldn't expect the road cars to really have anything more than a generic sidewall bump map.

Think you can pick rims from individual manufacturers like BBS but tires im not sure, and very doubtful this is a choice. However we will know for sure in17 days.

Crazy, I was just thinking about this topic earlier today. I thought, how do other tyre companies feel that their tyre on certain race cars will behave like a Yokohama tyre? Will another tyre company raise their hand and say we want to give our input? I remember we had Dunlop wheel choices in GT2 & 3? I'm not sure about 4.

Hahaha, I can imagine a discussion at Michelin or Dunlop, "Theres a car in Gran Turismo 6 that has our tires on it, and handles like it's running on Yokohama's."

I didn't hear any problems with Pirelli in Forza 4, so I doubt GT6 will be any different from it.

Wouldn't make too much sense since they have a parternership with Yokohama.

Having names of tires clearly visible on the side of racecars and certain road cars is one thing, but choosing among them from the tuning shop would be different.
