Hey guys!

I was wondering if there's a guide about tires somewhere. I'm having kind of a habit to just use racing soft most of the time (except for in rain or snow of course) because they're so nice and grippy but there has to be more to it or all the other types wouldn't be there.

I'd like to learn a bit more on what tires to use for different tracks/circumstances.

Anyone?

the only reasons i can think to not use racing softs is that either you don't have enough money, or you want to drift or have fun sliding.

The following is purely my opinion but I think it's fairly close to the actual truth.

Comfort tyres: These tyres are what's probably on your real life car. People usually drift using these but they can be used to make some fun low-power tunes.

Sports tyres: Still road legal but the grip levels are somewhere near a road legal slick tyre. Like the sort used on track day cars. You wont need to use anything better than these on most cars in GT5.

Racing tyres: Pretty obvious. They provide the most grip but aren't road legal in real life. Really should be used on racing cars and cars with too much power for sports tyres.

It's up to you which tyres you want to use. It's all down to how you want your car to behave.
