Information about new physics engine made me very happy about GT6, but also made me think. Will Polyphony this time give us a list of tires, that are real life ones counterparts? With so much attention to realism it's odd that we still have to guess on which tires in the game car will represent performance, that in reality it actually has.

I think there are many GT players, who like to drive cars in their standard trim, and they'll sure like to know, which ones are the factory fitted.

It would be cool to have every car with the right tires, but I don't see it happen. If they overhaul the tire model, making the in-game tires act like real tires, and not like grip multipliers as they are now in game, I would be happy enought.

I think they all be branded Yokohama but only in the mod garage tyre menu, some cars will still have other brands on the sidewall. But I think we will still have the racing hard, medium, soft. Hopefully adding super hard and soft. That is all I expect to happen and I'm happy with that

That's actually very important news. According to this broadcast:

They actually now modelling things like sidewall flex. They actually looking how different tires would grip the road. Old fashioned cross-ply or modern ones(?)

It's also said PD actually models behaviour of old fashioned cross-ply tires as well as modern ones. It's been also said in this broadcast that tires sidewall flex will be visible (!) and you'll be able to feel it.

If this is going to be true, it will be fantastic. And in that situation, PD providing info which tires are stock may be crucial for realistic experience.

New tire model is great news obviously, but I am really hoping for the option of selecting tire widths and profile sizes, as well as tire pressure even more.

I also want them to have STOCK tires for each car, no more of this guess which tire comes closest to stock nonsense anymore.
