Its too narrow for these cars, also the field becomes massively spread out and the bumps and camber throw the car off the track without warning

Also, to prevent an issue of signing up problems from the start of this season, people who have indicated an interest an interest in Season 6 and are trusted regular drivers will receive a PM, to offer them the place in advance. Also car selections will not be officially allowed until about a week after the thread is opened (though I know i'm staying with the Volvo ;) )

I thought we agreed that Le Sarthe was bad for TOCA?

But then again I seem to remember Furi saying more twisty tracks but that's hardly happened with Monza and Spa still hear, and those two have caused the most arguments this season already.

Really it should be heavy damage, anyone who drives like a tit gets kicked out.

Apart from Nurb 24 everything looks good, I think Le Sarthe is a bad idea also, what about Indianapolis instead?

Not bad, it is still possible, but not as a first choice venue.

Tsukuba had most arguments and Suzuka East. There I received on average seven PM's of complaint with issues per event, it's been down to two for the last couple events.

No to heavy damage.

It's been in before... though i have to say i'm not a fan...

Indy road course could work actually.

Although La Sarthe isn't bad as long as you avoid the VW problem.

It killed off Season 4. The whole idea of Touring Cars is short, twisty tracks, which is half the reason the TOCA Legends was better racing then this.

And that's the other half as (the majority) were more patient and didn't try to make stupid moves, most of the cautions in that were brought out by one or two people.;)

That's because people stopped caring, and anyway, I said arguments not PM's. Two people weren't allowed do Race 3 at Spa and Neljack quit at Monza. Those tracks will have a smaller idiot threshold, but it doesn't matter as this series is full with incidents anyway.

but as we have seen, and i have argued in many other threads, sure someone driving like a tit, causes damage, wrecks races gets kicked out, what if in say monza, a pure accident happens and for whatever reason, a pile up happens at turn 1 which as we all know too well, can easily happen and more than a few people have to go the rest of the lap with severly limiting damage putting them a good minute or so behind the rest all because of a simple accident?

Give a penalty to whoever missed their brakes and make sure people are actually careful? But like I said, Monza shouldn't be there anyway, it's not fun for people when they're overtaken by someone who is a second a lap slower in qualifying and there is loads of blocking and crashes there, it's more of a GT track, not Touring Cars.

Do you seriously want people to be completely out of contention after getting taken out just once?
Read the first part of this post, and quite frankly, anyone who is completely out of contention after getting hit just once, is probably not going to win the title anyway. And it's better to race for fun, not to win.

I think people at Monza were driving like utter morons, buffoons, loonatics, idiots. Pick anyone of those

Although to highlight an earlier incident (Suzuka east i think cant remember) if say your wheel clipped the grass or whatever causing to lose control and smash into someone else, is that fair for 1. You to be punished and 2. The other driver and your own race to be ruined?

Also i'll point we've had very little in way of rage quits during races, most DNF's this season have been due to DC's. Indy Road is a possible outside bet.

Another idea, sent to stewards who have given this a little bit of a lukewarm response, but i'm interested in general views from the field.

Last night at Spa we had 16 people, and were still missing a few regular people. In the past it has always been "first come, first served" which can prove a little problematic and unfair.

So an idea I have is in case of over 16 entries (which I believe will happen), we have a system where top 12 in points are "locked in" and guaranteed a starting place. The rest of the field have to be first in room when it opens, and run a short qualifying race, those top 4 in that race qualify there way into the main 3 races. Give them a point each as well for making it.

Thoughts?

Heavy damage is stupid idea end of, especially for this series, I would rather a full grid of drivers who are a bit rough than a small grid of drivers being really careful with overtakes.
And Indy Road instead of what?

Its fine as it is, Indi instead of Monaco or Le mans

Monaco not sure about, so possibly a little bit of reshuffling, thoughts on the quali idea guys?
