TOCA7 Pre Season Thread - Approaching End Of Testing Phase.

I will have to test and you will all most likely laugh at me but this seems to have a strong chance of being my S7 car.

I'm with you haitch, I'm thinking in it being my S7 car as well, I really like lighter cars due to the ability of braking later.

That and on Sports softs it turned really well. On RM's well I can imagine it being very fast in the corners.

I would actually say the Mazda is best of the cars we have had before, Honda Civic second.

Where as the Civic would turn and oversteer on a six pence , also it looks similar to the Chevy Cruze..

If the Honda had more top-end torque it would have been perfect.

And a TOCA7 question about quali - would you rather instead of a quali race instead we had a two part Qualifying session?

So a 15 minute session for the qualifiers, top runners from that go into the main 15 minute session?

Anyway here is a little retro history for all of us:



BTCC at its height. With MANY manufacturers - eight in all. Variety in droves resulting in some fantastic racing. So TOCA7 is somewhat similar in the variety. The car roster changed as late as last night, due to a lot of testing and analysis of results.

It's now 7 to 8 cars, and you can scratch what I said about Volvo, it may still be back, I have it at a slightly slower spec now.

Diffirence is while in real life most of the 8 manufactures could battle it out and win easily on a certain track. While here only 1 or 2 cars can win easily with the rest some pace off them trying to claw anything they can, FACT.

It's not that bad, atm there are 3 on pace cars, 1 almost on pace and 1 slow one

Thats what i'm striving for. Thats why I have cut two cars that I believe were too fast and replaced them. TOCA7 has 8 manufacturers now.

the volvo has been dominate because of spurgy and the fact half of the grid are using it

No the Volvo IS the fastest this season as it was last season vs the Honda too... Volvo for me around Motegi had a .2/.3 gap to 2nd then .5 to 3rd, post update.
