How should pre-qualifying be for TOCA7?

  • Keep the TOCA6 Quali Race format, it's fine.

  • Run a regular quali session instead for positions 13 downwards.

No the Volvo IS the fastest this season as it was last season vs the Honda too... Volvo for me around Motegi had a .2/.3 gap to 2nd then .5 to 3rd, post update.

Volvo is quickest car in the field after 2.09 yes. But I have found a way of making it 0.5 second a lap slower.

for next season there's got to be a limit on the amount of people in the same car as 75% of s6 the field chose either the volvo or bmw

They will be spoilt for choice. I would be surprised if one car dominates. I'll reveal TWO cars, as I feel nice, tomorrow :)

will there be a new car and a current car or 2 of either

Cars in S7:

1. ~RETURNING CAR~
2. ~RETURNING CAR~
3. ~RETURNING CAR~
4. ~RETURNING CAR~
5. ~NEW CAR~
6. ~NEW CAR~
7. ~NEW CAR~
8. ~Suzuki Swift Sport '07~

1 of each I reckon :)

Furi it was fastest by a tad on most tracks vs the Honda last season in 2.08.. It's even further ahead now after the update (2.09)..

You quoted my post yet somehow missed that part of my post due to your spamming nature.. :P

Which is why I have tested all cars afresh after 2.09. Volvo came out 0.6 quicker than others. A few tweaks eradicated 0.5 of that.

the volvo is definitely returning as you have discussed bringing it back after making it 0.5 secs slower so that's probably one of the returning cars.

My predicion for the Cars in S7:

1. ~RETURNING CAR~ Volvo C30
2. ~RETURNING CAR~ Honda CR-Z
3. ~RETURNING CAR~ Mazda Atenza
4. ~RETURNING CAR~ BMW 1 Series Concept
5. ~NEW CAR~ Peugeot 207 GTi
6. ~NEW CAR~ Toyota 86 GT
7. ~NEW CAR~ Nissan Fairlady
8. ~Suzuki Swift Sport '07~

probably going to be completely wrong, but the infiniti is going as it's too slow

I like these predictions.

i haven't included 4WD vehicles as furi stated that they would require a lot of testing, i've also not included 2 cars from the same manufacturer

I would prefer it to be this

I only hope for no Volvo and no 86GT/FRS/BR-Z ;)
All 4 are heavily too OP, although good looking and fast to drive.

My Prediction:
1. ~RETURNING CAR~ Mini Countryman
2. ~RETURNING CAR~ Honda CR-Z
3. ~RETURNING CAR~ Mazda Atenza
4. ~RETURNING CAR~ Ford Focus ST
5. ~NEW CAR~ Peugeot 207 GTi
6. ~NEW CAR~ Renault Megane
7. ~NEW CAR~ VW Golf V GTi
8. ~Suzuki Swift Sport '07~

=> ALL FWD TOCA Season 👍

Don't think mini will return, didn't think about ford or golf through 👍

Alrighty some more due today. When i'm done it may seem like I am bringing them out pretty quick... but trust me you will want to get testing :sly:

BMW have a great pedigree in touting cars and in TOCA dominated with the 1 Series in the first season of the new-regs TOCA, back in TOCA3. This season they re-emerged with the 1 Series tii, which received a performance break recently as a result has got two wins this season. Always popular, BMW returns for TOCA7 with the 1 Series tii, which given its strong showing of late, will certainly be a title contender in 2013.

Infiniti and parent company company Nissan have always had some support for TOCA. The Infiniti G35 debuted in TOCA3, with two wins following in TOCA4 before Nissan tried the unsuccessful Nissan 350GT the next season. The G35 has proven a strong midfield runner on its return this season, but development for next season moves to this - simply dubbed the "Infiniti Coupe", based on the Infiniti Coupe Concept, a wonderful swooping body and huge windows make this a distinguishable car on track. The engine is punchier than its predecessors and with it's smooth NA powerband, this might be a title contender come TOCA7.

~And say hello to Fuji in TOCA7 ;) ~

I mean this is what i want

I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this but, how about using a course maker track? I used to be in a group call TCR, where all we did was race on creator tracks, and it was dead good racing. I could make a track and then everyone download it and learn it pre-race.
