Toe Angle Question

According to the helpful orange question mark while tuning your suspension. It states that Toe-out is good for your initial turn in.

But when the weight of the car reaches that outside tire.. it's pushing in the direction of that tire.. which would Understeer because the outside tire would be facing the outside of the turn.. Right?

--My question is if you Toe-In the front.. the initial turn-in would be less, obviously. But when all the weight transfers to the outside.. that wheel will be facing into the turn.. digging in and helping the car get through the turn... right??

Does anyone tune this way?

Ohh AND HAS ANYONE FIGURED OUT SPRING RATES YET>> higher is harder riiight?!

I've found it better not to think about toe in terms of understeer and oversteer, but in terms of stability versus instability, which is different. Toeing out an axle makes that end of the car more "nervous" and quicker to change direction. Toeing in an axle makes that end of the car feel "smoother" or more "locked down", for lack of a better term. I don't try to balance a car with toe, that's what swaybars and other settings are for. I use to to change the way that the car transitions into and out of corners.

Toe-out helps the car rotate more easily regardless of which axle you apply it to. Toe-in encourages understeer.

Cheers
