No laptime updates or responses to the suggested rule change made by GFxJG?

btw, how about you have a go yourself one more time, because at the moment, you're still lingering at last and I don't think that does you justice.

I like the sound of this and will have a go 2mrw...but unfortunately I've been out on a stag weekend and returning now in on state to drive either way lol...budget challenge does sound good though...time for bargain hunting me thinks :)

ronsmaps
I bought a Nissan Silvia Spec R Areo (S15) '99
price for car with 27,566 km was 17,806 cr.
I added the Racing Air Filter for 450,
Catalyic Converter for 500,
5 speed Transmission for 6000.
That made a total price of 24,756.

My best time, and the first time I ever did a time trial, was
1:25.556.

Car:Mistubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS TM '00

Cost list:
Car-19,738

Woah harsh, if it's got 15,000 miles on the clock you need an oil change for 250, but you've only got 244 left :grumpy:

I was going to give this a go with one of these today, as it turned up in my UCD yesterday, unless something else does. But not that tune.

I was tired yesterday when I looked at it, and for a moment thought I could buy a Merc SL 500 coupe for 15,000 Credits, when I looked again it was 150,000 credits Doh.

My attempt now the child has finally having her afternoon nap.

Nissan Silvia spec - R AERO (S15) 99 with 33,661 (after I had done some laps)

Car 15,130Cr
Oil Change 250Cr
Sports Soft Tires 8,000Cr
ECU Upgrade 1,000Cr
Racing Filter 450Cr = 24830Cr

Time 1:20:878.

There is a faster time in it yet. That was using DS3 and auto gears.

Edit: Can we post faster times for the same car, and tune.

I badly wanted the oil change but thought if that is worth 5% maximum on the horse power what would a transmission do for me? With the long straights and tight corners I though a transmission would be better. Now can I go into the tune and delete that tranny and try someother combination? Would I be able to list any new times?

hi,

new time (2nd Attempt):

Lancer Evo VI GSR '99 - 1:20.452
Driving line: on
ABS: 5
Grip Reduction: Real
everything else set to off.
Logitech Momo wheel.

I don't think anything below 1.20 is possible with this car (when I am driving :dopey:)

Hi all,

Finally got round to doing this in my first attempt (not the first lap) I got a lap time of 1:23.268

Could possibly shave some time off but I was using the DS3. Here are the stats:

Nissan 180 SX Type X '96 - 15,809
Oil Change - 250
Sports Soft Tyres - 8,000
Racing Air Filter - 450

I think maybe a vehicle country table could be divisional for this. So my time for example would sit in a Japanese Table...Just a thought.

Taken a video to accompany my time, recorded on my phone but thought it would be nice 👍

Well, looking at the leaderboard, most of the cars would fall into the 'Japanese' category, so I think sorting the cars out by their drivetrain would be better since the leaderboard is dominated by Evos.

I don't really want to carry on maintaining this thread as I've a lot to do for a few weeks. I'm looking for someone to take over maintaining this thread (a premium member would be prefered). If anyone's intrested PM me.

Integra Type R (DC2) '98: 14,928 CR

Oil Change: 250 CR
Wash: 50 CR
Sport Soft: 8,000 CR
ECU Upgrade: 1,000 CR
Catalytic Converter: 500 CR
Sport Air Filter: 250 CR

Total Expense: 24,978 CR

Time: 1:20.639

Not going to take the top time, but this is a great challenge idea. :)

Right had a go for my 2nd attempt in a different car.

Again using the DS3, here are the stats:

Subaru IMPREZA Coupe WRX typeR STi Version VI '99 - 24,469
Oil Change - 250
Sports Air Filter - 250
-----------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL COST = 24,969
-----------------------------------------------------------

Lap time - 1:19.559

Video to accompany this below again recorded on my phone...I thing could shave a few more tenths off this but don't think it will hit the top.

Can someone please accept taking over this thread as I aforementioned I have a lot to do for a long time and I know a lot of people like this.

My participation#1:

240SX '96 (72000km)
Tires: default (CS)
CPU upgrade
Catalyst
Racing filter
stage 1 engine tuning
sports intake manifold
sports exhaust
BHP 265/ 444PP

Lap time: 1.26,201

Should have reduced weight instead of sports intake manifold or keep money for better tires was even smarter. Keeping these in mind for next attempt...

You should be able to knock out a quicker time than that but how much did you spend on the car...I'm assuming its from the UCD?

Yes, I got it for 18K and I left CS tires in order to give it power but some turns require grip...

yup very true...especially Hammerhead...and sometimes Chicago, dependant on the car.

Try with out some of the upgrades and try a set of sports...my time was done with SH but that is also due to lack of funds :sly:

I got a 1:18:373 in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Vll RS '01
Car specs:
328BHP
1320kg
Front tyres: sports soft
Rear tyres : sports soft
No tuning i just changed the oil and restored the engine and rigigity.

I'm fairly certain that those 2 alone are way over 25K.
