Total numbers of cars (including colour variations)

I wanted to know how many different cars, incl colour variations, were in GTPSP. Searching here and on the web brings up numbers like 4400 and 4500 but no definitive answer. I have now eventually checked my garage against all the dealership cycles and the number for my (PAL) version is 4465 including the 5 SP DLC from the PSN store.

fwiw; I currently have 4409; all the shareables, require 56 trade only and have no duplicates.

I assume that all versions have the same numbers, but that may not be right.

I have the NTSC/NA game and have 4583, + 5 specials. I know I have a lot more non-shareable cars to get. I would guess its about 4630 total with every car in every color.

That is interesting, and implies the NTSC version has more cars than the PAL version. I wonder whether there are any region specific cars that can be shared or traded ( we can call them imports  ), or maybe you already have some imports ?

It will take me awhile to complete my collection as the PD FGT and Veyron variations cost 69million cr alone !

The numbers you guys are getting are way way higher than my total of 4449 colours (including all 7 SP Models). I've triple checked my garage collection and I've missed absolutely none (I have the Australian PAL version btw). Is it possible that you guys are getting duplicate colours through sharing or just by accident? Or maybe some hybrids got included while you're counting? I've read somewhere in this forum that the trade feature sometimes glitch and gives you the same car in the same colour when sharing even though you already got it.

I'm curious because, as far as I know, all regions of GTPSP has the same car lineup (which is the reason why the lineup has so many duplicates of the same car with regional naming being the only difference).

If someone wants to, we could post the numbers broken down into manufacturers to help solve this discrepancy :boggled:

Nice work Legend, and it is quick & easy to check with your numbers. My UK(PAL) version has the same numbers as yours when I take into consideration the tradeable cars that I am missing.

My total under view records is 4409, but if I add up the garage totals I get 4391 - a difference of 18, and yet there are no duplicates checked both in garage and under dealership (ie where you buy) views... strange.

Unless others report differently is 4442 (excl SP cars) the golden number ?

Thanks Steven 👍 Good to know my work didn't go to waste

That's weird about the garage totals vs records. Do tell me when you've resolved it.

I consider 4442 the provisional 'Golden Number', unless someone can prove otherwise and show the extra/missing cars. At the risk of sounding like a snob, I've verified the numbers in my game and can confirm that it is 100% correct, unlike some of the claims above which has no breakdown per manufacturer (hence their accuracy cannot be verified).
