So PD is making a motorbike race game too now. Tourist Throphy, I never paid attention to it till recently I decided to look it up because I had seen a picture of TT.

So it's beautifull and stuff and it promises to be a good game. But that made me wondering....
Could they make a PS3 package? GT5 + Tourist Throphy? Maybe add some stuff to make it look like one single game. Maybe being able to transfer money from one game save to the other. I'm sure there are more options to link these games together with.

I thought some people might be interested in this idea so lets discuss it here:)

Edit: Yeah well maybe just cars and bikes in one:) But I'm kinda going to the package direction as with Half Life 2 or something. If you combine bikes with cars it will be limited, if you just make Gt5 and make Tourist Throphy with that engine then no limitations. Maybe it would require some extra long developing time though...

:dunce: Edited post, that could be good too but I think a box of 2 CD's is better so the bikes dont get in GT5 in a limited way...

In my eyes, I'd rather them be kept completely seperate. Ok maybe sell the two games as a pair with the PS3 as said, but not have any real link between the games themselves..

We're talking about a PS2 game starring bikes, already released in Japan, and an upcoming PS3 game starring cars that still has 1-2 years of development to go. Bundling these doesn't make any sense, so there isn't much to discuss.

And the one game with both bikes and cars idea has its clear disadvantages. It would slow down development of a next GT down and wouldn't improve the quality and content of the game. I'd rather have a single game specialised in cars, and another one specialised in bikes, to get the maximum out of each.

What he said.

Bundling is something that usually happens in the PC world, especially with graphics cards to make them more attractive. And especially with different generations of games. I do think that one that might have some appeal would be a PS3/Gran Turismo bundle with all the versions of Gran Turismo from 1 through 5 included, and perhaps even the limited-release versions like Prologue. It's a thought, since I'm not playing my older versions, but I'll never sell or trade them either.
