It seems I've stumbled across a glitch in the game where you can actually get into the Toyota 7 Race Car in Arcade mode for a rally race, complete with dirt tires. Now, as sweet as this sounds, as soon as you accept the setup and go to actually race the car, the game locks up, and the only way to fix the game is to reset the system itself.

go into arcade mode and choose single race or time trial, choose the Dirt Tracks (any dirt track at least will do), and select the Toyota 7 Race Car. Settings screen will come up indicating that the Toyota 7 has Dirt tires equipped, and the game will freeze when you accept the settings. I'll try to get some pictures posted here in a few moments

I'm guessing they're just trying it to see if it locks up their systems as well? :dunce: Either way, it'd be interesting to know if anyone else has this glitch.

I've also stumbled across a glitch with the Citroen 2CV Type A [Peche (Special Color)] where if you equip all the horsepower upgrades, your car will actually lose power, and won't even be able to get going under its own power from a standing start. I'll try to get some pictures of that as well, for those who want evidence.

The losing of power has been a staple of GT for a while now. It happened in GT2 (though I can't remember what car it did it to), GT3 (VW Beetle, I think) and GT4 (various cars, and some cars when supercharger and racing muffler are installed).
Not having enough power to move sounds interesting though.

When you do Stg III N/A tuning and put on the racing exhaust the low end torque drops to practically nothing in some vehicles. Step it down to Level 2 Sports exhaust to get some backpressure and then it'll be fine. I had that in GT3 with the VW Beetle 2.0.

Try putting it in neutral or hold the E-brake and hit the gas. In my experience the engine will rev up really slowly and then suddenly shoot up to the rev limiter. Hit 1st/let go of the E-brake and off ya go.

the 2CV doesn't even get enough power to get over 1k on its own. I'll post the pics for proof later tonight, might even be able to add a (choppy) 10-sec clip of it off a standing start.

It won't even rev when the clutch is engaged? Wow.

Hard to see anything in the clip, but you can definitely tell that Kelvari has 100% throttle applied...and yet the car goes no-where

..well, I don't know, if it's the right thread for this (I'm actually not an english-pro)
...on sunday I recognized a "bug", that happened for the first time since I drive GT4 (~1,5 years):
I drove my Nismo 400R on the Nürburgring - with Turbo Stage 2 (I also bought Stage 4, but did not used it) - what should I say... on the first long straight after start (yes, I should know the name, but better I know the track ;-) ) the Nismo stayed stuck in 3rd gear (automatic transmission) - I left off the acceleration-pedal, pushed it again, then the car was able to switch in 4th, then the same procedure...
...later, on "Döttinger Höhe", it happened again...
I tried another full maxed out car with reduced power (RUF "Yellow bird" - reduced to Stage 2) - same thing again...
Both times the acceleration-meter indicated full throttle, the transmission was set to automatic 14...
For me it's a bug, if it was a problem with my wheel/pedals, it would not have been shown full throttle.
With thish beasts, it cannot be the lack of power to reach the shifting revs from 3rd to 4th gear...

The Racing exhaust loss of power makes some sense though. You open up the exhaust too much and crap isn't sucked out engine nice and quick.

Though its quite scary how much low end you lose with that racing exhaust. Quite.

I know the MR-S has some power loss when supercharged and then you put the racing exhaust on. Well, power loss compared to the semi racing exhaust.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but I found the way to use Toyota 7 at dirt tracks. The trick is : 2player mode. But you have to select it from your memory card. Its surprizingly good at rallys

I'll definitely have to keep that in mind. Surprising what you can do in a rally race that you can't nomrally do.
