Toyota 86 GT Cup Limited Edition 2013

Toyota has announced the GT 86 Cup Edition, which will be limited to just 86 units.

It costs just 2,860 more than the regular model, but comes with a lot nice upgrades like 18” OZ Ultraleggera wheels wrapped around in Pirelli P Zero Corsa GT tires measuring 225/40 R18. There are also some nice paint options like Dynamic White Pearl, Racing Red and Furious Black Mica colors decorating the roof, hood, exterior mirrors and trunk lid, with corresponding color accents on the front spoiler, rear diffuser, A-pillar.

The interior boasts an Alcantara sports steering wheel, “Cup Edition” lettering and an individually-numbered brushed aluminum plaque.

For this additional money you’ll get two tickets to a VIP customer event at the Nurburgring.
No performance upgrades are planned, so the 2.0 liter boxer engines still offers 200HP (147 kW).

Is the 86 going to be the new Miata ?

Yes this could be, but the positives are that they can be all premium, new body kits that could be adapted for all models and the addition of some great new colors.

Also these cars have a GPS visualizer feature so with the aid of choosing your exact model. That GPS visualizer is a great idea for data collection on behalf of gran Turismo it also can show the added benefits of real tuning in reality.

For example when you use the GPS visualizer does it then ask you what additional features you have installed on your car? eg. Brembo Brakes, Pirelli Tires & etc.
